5 Ways James Ellsworth could influence Survivor Series

James Ellsworth is living his dream

When we saw him square off against the mammoth Braun Strowman, there was no way we could have predicted this. Shockingly, the pint-sized weird looking jobber, known as James Ellsworth may just be the top babyface in WWE right now.

Guess it is true what they say, any man with two hands has a fighting chance in the world of professional wrestling/sports entertainment. Moreover, his t-shirt is reportedly outselling that of top stars on the official WWE store. Getting to be in the same ring as Edge and The Undertaker must be a dream come true for this world-renowned jobber.

As journalists who’ve been watching WWE for a long time, we know that while Ellsworth has been officially made the ‘mascot’ of Team Smackdown; it implies that he’s going to be involved in the actual match in some way, shape or form. We can think of 5 scenarios that could happen, right now. Will one of them actually transpire at Sunday’s Survivor Series?

#5 Accidentally getting Dean Ambrose eliminated from the match

Will Ellsworth have another ‘oops’ moment with Ambrose?

While the friendship between Ellsworth and Ambrose is endearing, to say the least, it’s only a matter of time before they implode, and one of them goes complete heel. After all, Ellsworth has cost Ambrose, one chance after the other every week.

Will there be yet another mishap at Survivor Series that gets Ambrose eliminated, forcing Ambrose to go heel against James Ellsworth? After all, the crowd has been organically cheering for AJ Styles on Smackdown Live.

Maybe this double turn could freshen up things in the Smackdown main event picture in the coming weeks.

#4 Helping Smackdown eliminate Braun Strowman

Will Survivor Series be the end of the original James Ellsworth feud?

If Ellsworth’s career has skyrocketed in the past few months, so has the behemoth Braun Strowman’s career!

From an insignificant member of the Wyatt family, he has gone on to become the main ‘giant’ on Raw. It all started for the both of them, in a squash match, where Ellsworth delivered his now legendary ‘any man with two hands...’ in-ring promo.

After that, he went on to have a title match on Smackdown and has always been a part of the main event picture since then. But, we’re sure Ellsworth hasn’t forgotten how his path to greatness first started. He has a bone to pick with Strowman, and because he looks unbeatable, we presume that Ellsworth will cause his elimination somehow.

But how will the world’s most famous jobber affect the most dominant member of team Raw? Your guess is as good as ours.

#3 Turning on AJ Styles midway through

Does Ellsworth love Smackdown more than he hates Styles?

Don’t forget, that in just two weeks, Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles will compete in a TLC match. As if it wasn’t obvious enough, none of the members of either team gets along. Styles and Ellsworth, in particular, have a lot of bad blood. If Styles starts behaving extra heelish, can we see Ellsworth tune up the band for the No-Chin Music?

If not for himself, maybe to come to the aid of his friend Ambrose. This is not just quite probable but indeed is a very likely scenario.

#2 Retribution against Chris Jericho

We cannot wait for yet another confrontation between the most over ‘babyface’ and ‘heel’

This Monday Night, we experienced a confrontation we’d been anticipating forever. Chris Jericho and James Ellsworth engaged in a one-sided battle of words, which culminated with Jericho putting a very shocked Ellsworth on the list! Remember, WWE is always big when it comes to payoffs.

While Jericho came out looking stronger than Ellsworth in that exchange, we know the jobber’s time is due. It is entirely possible that he will interfere and lead to Jericho getting eliminated. And with Jericho, it’s not hard to do really. All one needs to do is steal the list, and run for one’s life.

#1 Turning on Smackdown and singing with Raw

This devious woman always has a backup plan

Now, as it stands, this possibility really looks far fetched, and we agree! But just think about it. Ellsworth first appeared on Raw, and then went to Smackdown Live, becoming a regular feature there.

What if it turns out that he’s been sent there by Stephanie McMahon to sabotage this monumental match?

What if he was employed by Stephanie McMahon all along, through the programs on Smackdown. It would get way more heel heat on Stephanie and could start the Jericho vs. Ellsworth program that we have wanted thus far. In this age of social media, this would really get many people talking.
