4 reasons why The Shield vs Strowman, Ziggler and McIntire is good for business

Monday Night Raw has become action-filled once again. The current run of The Shield is proving beneficial for Vince. Some may argue that the drop in viewership may suggest otherwise. But the point is that viewership numbers never tell us the exact picture. There are a lot of factors that come into play when we are talking about viewership numbers. All 6 men have been putting on some quality segments and it promises a cracker of a match at the show-down. The Shield is one of the most popular and loved tag teams in the whole of WWE and Strowman is a fan favourite. Both the sides are star-studded. It is all beneficial for Vince, but let's have a look at some other reasons as well.

4. It helps Roman get over with the crowd

The workhorse of the WWE deserves more respect.

There is no denying that Roman is not accepted by a large part of the WWE Universe and it's evident in the number of boos that he receives. The Shield is one of the most popular and loved factions in the WWE. Roman is more or less the leader of this team and so far he has led them very well. I call him this because he is the strongest of the trio and executes the triple power-bomb. If he leads them to victory against their rivals, it might as well do the job for Vince in getting the entire WWE universe to cheer for Roman.

3. Strowman will be brought back to the ground

One of the most nonsensical bookings in recent times.

Braun Strowman is an overrated wrestler, to be honest. He is a part of one too many squash matches with everything in his favour. The way he's booked and the way that he gets his results are quite unrealistic. His match with Finn Balor was very disappointing and disheartening as Balor was squashed by a so-called 'Monster among Men.' He became the first ever Universal Champion for a reason and I'm sure that it wasn't for this. Braun might be big and powerful but I don't think any wrestler would become a squash target so easily. Strowman is sure to get a harsh treatment from the Shield. This would benefit many subdued wrestlers. Moreover, Braun being a heel would make much more sense if he loses against the Shield. As I said, he needs to be brought down to the ground. He might be a monster, but not in front of the strongest tag-team going around.

2. It adds more value to the Intercontinental Title

The Architect.

The Intercontinental Title is a prestigious one and its value has increased over the years. The Miz did a pretty good job and then he lost his title to Rollins. Rollins is a fan favourite and that itself is of great news to the title. Dolph has been fighting for the title. To be blunt, Dolph lost his own place in the WWE. He wasn't doing much until this feud began. Seth was fighting for it until The Scottish psychopath took Ziggler's side. That's when Dean returned and it turned into an epic feud. What does it mean when 6 people are involved (Well, Roman and Strowman have their own causes) just because of a feud that started over an IC Title? According to me, it increases its value by leaps and bounds.

Moreover, a battle for the tag-team titles is also going on which makes this even more interesting. It's been a while since we last saw a professional wrestler with the IC as well as the tag-team title.

1. It adds more depth to the speculation surrounding Dean

Will the Lunatic turn heel?

It has been going on for a while. A heel turn is expected from Dean which would cause yet another split of the Shield. The longer this feud goes, the more suspense it builds and with Dean acclaimed to be mentally unstable on screen (as per his character), it just adds to it. Nobody wants to see the Shield split up. At the same time though, nobody would mind a Dean vs Rollins vs Reigns. Dean Ambrose received the loudest pop of 2018 when he returned and him turning heel would generate an even better response.
