WWE SmackDown Results, December 11th 2018, Latest SmackDown Live winners and video highlights

Daniel Bryan opened the show. He said he called the people sheep last week and that he'd like to apologize...to the sheep because sheep don't harm the environment and leave a carbon footprint. He compared them to parasites instead. The crowd started chanting "Daniel sucks!"

Daniel Bryan was interrupted by 205 Live's Mustafa Ali. He introduced himself for a second and Bryan said "I know who you are. These idiots might not, but I know". Bryan praised Ali and says that he sees a lot of himself in Ali. He even told the Heart of 205 Live that they didn't even need to have a match.

He added that after their match, the people won't care, because too self-absorbed, too xenophobic are greedy consumers. Ali simply responded by asking what happened to him.

Mustafa Ali said that he looked up to Bryan and so did the entire 205 division. He added that he represented a man with heart and would go toe-to-toe against the giants. Bryan asked him what car he drove. Ali, bewildered, told him he drove an SUV. Bryan kicked the mic out of his hand and called him ignorant. He slapped Ali again and he fought back before hitting a moonsault on Bryan outside the ring.

Daniel Bryan vs Mustafa Ali

Daniel Bryan started off by cornering Ali and kicking him in the gut. Bryan began systematically tearing him down, attacking his legs and grabbing him by the nose and breaking the hold before the referee's count.

Ali started firing back with kicks to the back. Bryan went outside the ring and Ali hit him with a suicide dive. Corey Graves seemed to hint at Ali moving out of the Cruiserweight division (interpret that as you will).

Back after the break, Ali was wrapped in the Yes Lock. During the commercial, Ali had hit a Spanish fly. Ali managed to escape the Yes lock but Bryan hung him upside down on the turnbuckle and kicked him before hitting a slide tackle.

Ali missed a 054 splash and Bryan took Ali's legs and slammed it against the turnbuckles. Bryan locked in a heel hook and Ali was forced to tap.

Result: Daniel Bryan def. Mustafa Ali

The New Day hosts the 2nd ever Rap Battle - The Bar vs The Usos

Ad

The Usos clearly won the rap battle. But The Bar attacked both teams and celebrated at the end with the Tag Team Titles.

There wasn't really too much to the segment but The Bar was hilarious. With that said, last year's rap battle was better.

The Miz calls out Shane McMahon

Ad

The Miz called out Shane McMahon, holding the World Cup trophy. He said unlike Jon Snow, he's not hesitant to bend his knee. Shane finally came out and said the whole trophy thing is starting to get weird. The Miz got a referee and told Shane that they need to team one more time - if they lost, they would part ways. He called out two jobbers from Las Vegas and the match began.

Shane McMahon & The Miz vs Enhancement talent

Shane McMahon was attacked from behind. He fought them off and without even tagging The Miz, locked a triangle choke and won by submission.

Result: Shane McMahon & The Miz def. Enhancement talent

After the match, the Vegas Boys who just lost went to Paige handing an invoice. They said that Miz informed them that they would be paid $5,000 each. Paige, furiously rips the invoices while also blasting the referee for beginning an unsanctioned match involving the Commissioner.

Randy Orton was out next and talked about Steel Chairs and seemed to be surprised that Mysterio was even willing to step in the ring after what happened.

Mysterio came out of nowhere and slammed Orton with a steel chair. He continued to assault him and threw a steel chair onto Orton before dropkicking him. He landed a 619 and Orton escaped immediately. Mysterio stood tall after the exchange while Orton fled.

Rusev & Jeff Hardy vs Shinsuke Nakamura & Samoa Joe

Ad

R-Truth and Carmella interrupted with a dance break right as the match began allowing Nakamura to get the drop on Jeff Hardy. Shinsuke Nakamura worked on Jeff Hardy and tagged in Samoa Joe, who slammed him outside the ring. Joe continued to attack Hardy as he tried to make a tag.

An intense back and forth saw Hardy and Rusev make a comeback. Rusev hit a superkick and pinned the United States Champion after a quick match.

Result: Rusev & Jeff Hardy def. Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe

Asuka vs. Charlotte

Ad

Charlotte hit a huge side slam and Becky was in the commentary table for the match. Asuka hit a German Suplex. Charlotte went for the Moonsault but Asuka got her knees up and tried for the Asuka Lock.

We returned from commercials to see Charlotte in another hold but The Queen lifted the Empress and dropped her in a powerful slam. Charlotte's left arm seemed to be in pain but she managed to lock in a Figure 4 and screamed at Asuka to tap out.

Asuka managed to reverse the hold and Charlotte went for Asuka's damaged left leg. Asuka hit her signature standing kicks but took a big spear in the middle of the ring. Another attempt at a moonsault saw Asuka lock in the Asuka Lock but the two rolled outside.

Charlotte grabbed a Kendo Stick from under the ring and hit Asuka with it, getting a DQ before attacking Becky at ringside.

Result: Asuka def. Charlotte via DQ

Becky snatched the weapon away and smashed Charlotte with it. Asuka was up next as Becky went up to her but the Empress fought back and used the Kendo stick to take down both opponents as the show came to a close.
