#4 Daniel Bryan

He is back now

2012 was the year when the wrestling fans were chanting only ‘YES! YES! YES’. After a year he turned face and from that time he became the most popular superstar in the company.

On June 17, 2013 edition of Monday Night Raw, he faced ‘the Viper’ Randy Orton in a No Disqualification match. During the match, he suffered from a neck injury and the match was cancelled in between.

After that, Bryan got upset with Triple H because he stopped the match early and Bryan lost that match.

Bryan had an argument with the COO and according to him, He knew he could have finished the match and it was decided that he will take his win over Orton. But due to the situation where WWE cannot take the risk, they stopped the match.

Even Triple H himself finished his match with an injury before getting help from the doctors. He did this thing two times in his career.

Bryan got angrier because he was about to win that match. But after some argument, both men cooled down, apologized to one another and closed the matter. He lost many opportunities in his career because of the injury.

This year Bryan made his return to the ring after many years and he is still wrestling with the passion he had during 2012.

#3 Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins was a top heel when he got injured

On November 4, 2015, in an event of Dublin WWE Superstar Seth Rollins suffered three ligament tears to his right knee. WWE reported that he would go for surgery and he was expected to miss six to nine months of action. At that time Rollins was a heel and by that, I mean a really good heel.

He was good on the mic as well as in the ring too. It was a time when Seth Rollins was just climbing stairs of success and suddenly by a wrong move, he injured himself.

He was the WWE Heavyweight champion at that time but WWE forfeit the title because of his injury.

Later, WWE announced a tournament for the vacant title and at night of Survivor Series 2015 we saw the finals where Roman Reigns defeated Dean Ambrose to become the new champion.

No only Rollins was suffering from an injury but he was also having a major loss as well. He lost all the heat he gained from his heel persona.

But after his return, WWE booked him so strong that after feuding with Triple H he gained all the momentum but this time as a babyface.

#2 Finn Balor

Balor relinquished his title the night after winning it

At SummerSlam 2016 not only he became the first ever Universal Champion of the WWE but his shoulder was also injured.

Nothing worse can happen to him then this incident. When he won the title the door of his bright future opened but it was soon closed by the WWE, who forced Balor to relinquish the title after the night he won it.

Many will say that the name ‘Finn Balor’ should be at the top of the list but his injury doesn’t cost him that much opportunity than the first one on our list.

We saw a smile on his face while he was giving an emotional promo but his true fans know, how much he is crying from inside.

He relinquished the title and went for the surgery. He was out of action until next year’s Raw after WrestleMania where he returned. But till this date, he didn’t get his legit rematch.

#1 ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin

The impact of this move was really so strong.
The impact of this move was really so strong.

A wrongly placed move shattered the whole bright career of ‘The Rattlesnake’.

On March 23, 1997, everyone in the arena saw Austin’s best performance till that day and more importantly, he performed at WrestleMania.

That night, we saw Bret Hart vs ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin in a Submission match and match lasts for 22 minutes and 5 seconds and Austin won that night. After his incredible performance, Austin quickly became everyone’s favourite.

Their feud didn’t end here and they were scheduled to fight again in SummerSlam 1997 but this time it was for the Intercontinental Championship.

But this match didn’t go as WWE planned it to be and Hart accidentally dropped a bad sit-out Piledriver to Austin and the impact of this move was so strong that it broke Austin’s neck.

And after this incident without Austin WWE’s war with WCW looked so weak. But the time was with WWE and after a month Austin returned back to the ring and he defeated Shawn Michaels (c) at WrestleMania 14 to win the WWF (now-WWE) Heavyweight Championship.

But the injury became so painful for Austin that he had to go for surgery in late 1999. The whole next year he was out of action and finally, the time came when in 2003 he announced his retirement.

He became the most famous professional wrestler in a short period and he was able to sell the show on his own. But, one wrong sit-out Tombstone Piledriver ruined his whole bright career.
