What's next for the Raw Tag Team Champions?
Where do Ambrose and Rollins go from here?

The current RAW tag team Champions are currently reigning supreme. After another match of the year contender at No Mercy, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose have taken the tag team division to a new level.

Never have the two looked more comfortable and better in the ring than they do now. They’re champions and fully living up to the role every week, but what’s next for the tag team champions?

We live in a world where fans lose interest extremely quickly, even in compelling television shows. So, here are 5 booking decisions that could help Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose sustain their momentum.

#5 Tag Team Open challenge

Rollins & Ambrose have held the RAW Tag Team titles for 37 days and counting

As two bonafide stars of the industry, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose have names that hold weight in the WWE. They not only have star power but also hold gold, meaning they are integral figures of Monday Night Raw.

Seeing as no current champion on the Raw roster is giving the locker room championship opportunities, Rollins & Ambrose should take up that mantle.

A weekly Raw tag team championship open challenge would be the perfect vehicle for the WWE to debate new teams, elevate current ones and have 5-star matches every week on TV.

Ambrose & Rollins are the perfect champions to hold such a challenge, thus giving us something to look forward to every Monday.

#4 Put over Gallows & Anderson

For some strange reason, Vince McMahon has completely devalued the former Bullet Club members Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

Despite a few interactions with John Cena, the duo have been used sparingly on Monday Night Raw, metaphorically pushing them into oblivion. They’re better than that and deserve more than what they’re getting now.

If used right, Gallows & Anderson could be a dominant force on Monday nights, thus becoming an insurmountable obstacle on Raw. Nobody in the business today hits a cleaner spine-buster than Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows moves incredibly well for a 7-footer, so why not use them?

A feud with Rollins & Ambrose would provide the WWE Universe with hard-hitting, non-stop, top quality action worthy of the Raw Tag Team Championships.

#3 Continue to set the bar

At WWE No Mercy, the Raw Tag Team Championship match stole the show. In a night billed as Wrestlemania worthy, it was only the tag team match that lived up to the billing. The four competitors put 100% into the match, making each other look like a million bucks.

Sometimes as WWE fans we get impatient and always implore the creative team to make new matchups. But sometimes the best television is the one that provides us with continuity.

This combination of Cesaro & Sheamus vs. Rollins & Ambrose hasn’t let us down once yet. So why change it if it ain’t broke?

#2 Dean Ambrose heel turn

After weeks of anticipation, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose finally settled their differences in August of this year and formed an incomprehensible tag team.

The storyline was based upon Rollins claiming he’s a new man with Ambrose being 100% sceptical.

Despite the duo winning the Raw tag team championships at Summerslam, the WWE could re-ignite that scepticism inside the Lunatic Fringe.

In a shocking turn of events, it would be revealed to us that Rollins never fully earned the trust back of Ambrose, leading to Ambrose turning on his former Shield-brother.

It would be the Lunatic Fringe’s turn to turn his back on Rollins, finally giving us the much-anticipated Dean Ambrose heel turn.

Ambrose needs to turn on Rollins during their next title defence, thus costing them the championships. This would then give us a babyface Rollins vs. a heel Ambrose feud to see out the rest of the year.

#1 Reform the Shield

For weeks upon end, the rumours have run rampant about a potential Shield reunion. The most dominating faction in WWE history hasn’t been active since Seth Rollins decided to chase personal glory with Triple H.

The split changed the course of the WWE forever and the three have gone on to achieve great things as solo competitors. Now, Ambrose & Rollins have formed an unstoppable alliance that’s dominating the tag team scene. However, three is always better than two.

On Monday Night Raw, we saw the Miz and the Miztourage beat the new face of the WWE, Roman Reigns down to a pulp. As they savagely beat down the Samoan, the California crowd repeatedly chanted ‘Shield’ in hope that Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins would come running down the ramp. They didn’t.

With the WWE transitioning into a new era, the Shield coming back together would help take things to unprecedented heights.
