NXT is WWE's developmental system where Superstars get used to WWE's style before moving to the main roster. But, wrestling pundits and hardcore wrestling fans often refer NXT as the epitome of wrestling in WWE. NXT has truckloads of amazing talent who put up five-star matches and they have a huge fanbase.

Usually, fans detest the fact that they have to move up to the main roster because most of the time, they either lose their relevance or they are booked as jobbers.

There are end numbers of examples to substantiate this statement and WWE hasn't used the talents efficiently which generally deteriorates due to factors like age and lack of motivation. Here are few examples of the grave mistake WWE is doing when it comes to handling talent.

#5 Tye Dillinger

Perfect Ten has Zero Feuds

10! 10! 10!

Tye Dillinger is the most underrated star in the Smackdown Live roster. Dillinger is underutilized in Smackdown Live, and it might not be wrong when one says that he has not been utilised at all.

In the NXT roster, Dillinger was involved in a tag team with Jason Jordan which was not very successful. Then, he picked up the Perfect Ten gimmick and started gaining prominence in WWE. His match with Andrade Cien Almas was critically acclaimed, and despite his defeat, he won many hearts.

In 2017, he debuted on Smackdown Live, and since then, he has lost his relevance. He was involved in a boring feud with Aiden English, who at that time was a jobber himself.

Dillinger was not a main-eventer in NXT, but he was popular with the fans. WWE has to understand the fact Dillinger is 37-years-old, and he will soon retire. They can use him in different manners to create amazing matches.

#4 The Ascension

The Ascension has descended
The Ascension has descended on the main roster

If something could define 'Failure in the main roster', The Ascension would perfectly fit that definition. The Ascension was a big thing in NXT, and they were considered very dangerous and dominating during their good times on the developmental roster.

The Ascension is the longest reigning NXT tag-team champs, and they remain undefeated till date. But, can anyone imagine that a tag-team holding such a strong position, are occasional jobbers on the main roster?

Back in NXT, they were dominating, dark, gothic, and attacking tag-team but, can we say the same thing about them on the main roster? I don't think so. As soon as they entered the main roster, they were not given proper feuds and As soon as, people started losing their interest which led to their disappearance.

We've seen Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas get a new life on the main roster, but only time can tell whether the same will happen with The Ascension or not.

#3 Tyler Breeze

Sadly, the main eventer is a jobber now

Tyler Breeze was tailor stitched for the main roster. He had the poise, the impactful character and he was also a main-eventer in NXT who performed his job excellently. But, maybe the stars were not aligned in a proper manner, he failed miserably in the main roster.

In NXT, he was in the main event scene where he competed against the likes of Sami Zayn, Neville etc. His pretty boy attitude who wore furry pants, had groomed blonde hair and who walked down the ramp with a selfie stick was loathed by the fans.

Unfortunately, his dreams broke when he made his debut on the main roster. He fought few odd feuds, but then the universe saw the fall of the star who had achieved heights on NXT. He had absolutely nothing before landing in a tag-team with Fandango and reaching the middle-card status. His 'Fashion Files' series alongside his partner Fandango, is way over the crowd.

Maybe, his career needs a breeze of fresh wind. Sadly, that doesn't seem to happen any time soon.

#2 The Authors of Pain

One of the most dominating in-ring talents

This is yet another success story that has turned into a failed story. The Authors of Pain were an exemplary tag team in NXT, and they thrived to achieve all the success.

A.O.P defeated TM-61 to win the second annual Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at NXT TakeOver: Toronto, and would win the NXT Tag Team Championships from Johnny Gargano Tommaso Ciampa at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio, and held them for seven months before dropping them to SAniTY at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III. The Authors of Pain haven't been booked properly since their debut, and they are another successful NXT tag-team which will lose their relevance due to bad booking.

Also, they've split from Paul Ellering which will cause more harm than good. AOP needs to find themselves, opponents, to remain relevant on the main roster.

#1 Bobby Roode

Bobby Roode is lost and is no more glorious

The Glorious one is not glorious anymore. Bobby Roode was the star heel of the NXT roster, and he performed brilliantly as the bad guy in the ring. He is also a legend in TNA. But, WWE seems to have forgotten Roode, and the main eventer in Smackdown is not battling against Mojo Rawley, a lower card player in the main roster.

Initially, when he was called up to the main roster, he was on Smackdown Live, and he received a good amount of importance there as he won the US Title, and got into a feud with Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal. But, his days of doom began when he got shuffled to the RAW roster, and since then, he is lost and never found again. His lacklustre run on RAW is becoming a pain for the viewer's eyes.

WWE needs to use this veteran properly as he is 41 years old now, and he might soon retire.
