5 Potential Finishes For Reigns vs. Strowman At Hell In A Cell

If booked right, this could be quite a fantastic match
If booked right, this could be quite a fantastic match

Last year, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman elevated each others' game, as they put on a series of fantastic sports entertainment contests. They had fabulous chemistry and proved that even in the absence of the Beast Incarnate, the company could rely on these two top guys. Which brings us to Hell in a Cell. These two bulls will collide once again.

Only this time it will be inside the most dreaded structure known to a sports entertainment professional- Hell in a Cell. Strowman cashed in his contract and he will lay it all on the line against his arch nemesis. All for the chance to become the Universal Champion.

Will Hell in a Cell be the moment when Strowman is crowned as the brand new Universal Champion? Or will The Big Dog prove that even a Hell in a Cell match is actually 'his yard'.

I look at 5 distinct possibilities in this article. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

#5 The Wyatt Family appears inside HIAC, helps Strowman win

Could Strowman align with his brothers yet again?
Could Strowman align with his brothers yet again?

Roman Reigns has ensured that The Shield is back together to serve as his insurance policy on RAW. Maybe Braun Strowman has an insurance policy of his own to keep the Hounds at bay at Hell in a Cell. Maybe the plan is for Bray Wyatt to get the Wyatt Family back on RAW, to feud with The Shield in months to follow.

Wyatt is currently directionless because of the real life injury to his 'Woken' partner. The Wyatt Family could just appear inside the cage, and take Reigns out. The Shield will not be able to interfere, because, well, they have no real magical powers, to the best of our limited knowledge.

But the good news then, is that The Shield and The Wyatt Family could certainly battle over the coming months on RAW. And this is a feud that I'm sure not too many fans may mind. Plus, imagine a monster holding the prestigious Universal Championship.

#4 Dean Ambrose turns on Reigns, Braun Strowman wins

Could we see the end of the Hounds of Justice?
Could we see the end of the Hounds of Justice?

Fans have been speculating about a heel turn from Dean Ambrose for some time now. Hell in a Cell may be the perfect opportunity for this. Let's assume that both The Shield and Ziggler and McIntyre somehow find their way into the dreaded structure. And then Ambrose turns on his brothers!

This makes a lot of sense because it would keep Reigns strong, while getting the Universal Championship off his waist. It would also lead to a Reigns vs. Ambrose feud, something we've not really seen before. Sure, they have wrestled one another, but never in a full-fledged, all out program.

Ambrose may be upset that he's the only superstar without a Championship in The Shield. He may also want a fresh coat of paint for his character.

#3 Roman Reigns wins clean

This is the least exciting option, but a probable one
This is the least exciting option, but a probable one

Hey, Roman Reigns is perhaps the most protected superstar in WWE right now. It would not surprise me at all to see him put on a classic with Strowman and then pin him with a spear. Reigns may be the only superstar in the roster who may be allowed to defeat Braun Strowman in such a manner. To be honest, this isn't even a bad option.

You would want your Universal Champion to look strong in his first outing. A clean victory may be the right way to achieve this.

#2 The Undertaker appears, lays both men out

Could The Dead Man come seeking retribution?
Could The Dead Man come seeking retribution?

We've already seen Triple H show up before Super Show-Down, cutting a pretty fantastic promo. We will see Shawn Michaels on TV next week, hyping the matchup. The only person to not have appeared on TV yet, who will be a part of the proceedings in Melbourne, Australia, is The Phenom himself.

We last saw him at the Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view. He seemed to be in phenomenal shape during his match. Maybe The Undertaker returns to make a statement and issue a challenge.

Maybe The Undertaker wants to cost Roman Reigns his title for defeating him at WrestleMania 33. The two men could build a feud that lasts up to WrestleMania. But a likelier possibility is The Undertaker laying both men out, in the middle of the ring, setting the stage perfectly for future events.

#1 Braun Strowman wins clean

Strowman may be the only superstar allowed to defeat Reigns clean
Strowman
may be the only superstar allowed to defeat Reigns clean

WWE has done a commendable job of building Braun Strowman into a legitimate main-event superstar, over time. They had him win the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. They had him become Mr. Money in the Bank too. And they've pushed him at every turn.

No other big man has been protected like he has. Look at Nia Jax, for instance, to draw a parallel. She is not nearly as bulletproof as Strowman is.

Remember how I said that Reigns may be one of the few people allowed to pin Strowman clean? I think the reverse holds true for Strowman too.

He may be the only person allowed to defeat Reigns clean and become the next Universal Champion.
