What will become of the Beast Incarnate, following WrestleMania 34?
What will become of the Beast Incarnate, following WrestleMania 34?

Sportskeeda brought you all the action from the WWE Royal Rumble, where Brock Lesnar simultaneously lay waste to not one but two opponents. While it is almost a foregone conclusion that he will take on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34, what happens after the big match?

It is being speculated that Brock Lesnar will drop the title to the Big Dog, on the grandest stage. If so, he needs suitable opponents to make his non-title feuds seem meaningful thereafter. Bear in mind that his contract expires after WrestleMania 34, and there's a big chance that he may go back to MMA.

This article looks at 5 performers he could have meaningful feuds with. Let us know in the comments if there's anyone we've missed out.

#5 Balor Club

One man may not be over enough, but three men might!
One man may not be 'over' enough for Vince McMahon, but three men might!

There was great speculation not long ago, that a match between Finn Balor and Brock Lesnar may be on the cards for the WWE Universe. The match was pulled at the very last minute, if sources are to be believed, because Balor was deemed not 'over' enough to face the Beast Incarnate.

Now, Finn Balor does not ride alone. With Gallows and Anderson by his side, does he have the firepower to take the Beast on, in a somewhat believable manner? We believe he certainly does, despite the discrepancy in size.

Especially if the match were to become a 'No Holds Barred' contest, Lesnar may actually wrestle as the underdog. Paul Heyman has, in the past, expressed his admiration for Finn Balor's wrestling skills and may be interested to work with him, down the line.

For this program to actually transpire, Balor may have to go heel first.

#4 Drew McIntyre

McIntyre has all the skills to be WWE's next big star
McIntyre has all the skills to be WWE's next big star

Drew McIntyre was reportedly on the verge of a call-up, when an injury foiled all plans. He is set to return next year, and when he does, we have a feeling that a jet pack will be strapped to him. McIntyre has everything it takes to be WWE's next top star. He has the physique, in-ring skills and is also quite competent on the microphone.

Perhaps the first step on his quest for world domination is a tryst with the Beast Incarnate. In many ways, this may be a bigger program than a mid-card title shot. Win or lose, a shot at Lesnar will definitely elevate Drew McIntyre.

When Brock Lesnar tries his best, he is an incredible in-ring worker. McIntyre has proved, time and again, that he's one of the best in the world.

If booked right, this program could be a slobberknocker.

#3 Lars Sullivan

This is a potential dream match
This is a potential dream match

There are many parallels between Brock Lesnar and Lars Sullivan. Both are monstrous men, WWE Superstars you probably don't wish to meet in dark alleyways. Both move freakishly quick for their size. While one has already achieved greatness, the other is well on his path to do so.

Brock Lesnar was so impressed when he first saw Lars Sullivan, that he wanted to train with the man who was almost a mirror image of him. Considering Sullivan already has Lesnar's blessings, we foresee a clash down the line, between these two sluggers, maybe as early as 2018.

#2 Bobby Lashley

Fans have wanted this clash, for a really long time
Fans have wanted this clash, for a really long time

Both Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar are certified MMA stars. Fans have wanted these two phenomenal superstars to clash either inside the octagon or in the ring, for a long time now.

Lashley has spoken about how many fans have approached him about a Lesnar vs. Lashley clash, in various interviews. With reports running rampant that he's on his way to WWE, it would be foolhardy to not do this match (remember Undertaker vs. Sting, or rather the lack of it?). Rumours are rampant that both men are due to collide after WrestleMania 34.

We wonder if there will be a few stiff shots and MMA style submissions in this match. Whatever the case may be, this is guaranteed to be a big-ticket contest.

#1 Killian Dain

Dain may just be the next Brock Lesnar
Dain may just be the next Brock Lesnar

Anybody who's seen Killian Dain work in NXT, knows that he's a special athlete. Not only is he incredibly gifted and a physical specimen, he can also move with the speed of a gazelle. SAnitY should be due for a call-up, almost any time now. Dain vs. Lesnar could be a dream match.

If you haven't watched Dain in action, do check out just how destructive he was at the WarGames match that NXT just put together. Imagine the kind of destruction he could carry out in the main roster. In fact, Dain could also have great matches with Strowman and Joe, going forward.

With Killian Dain, we conclude our list of 5 potential opponents for Brock Lesnar, following WrestleMania 34. This is provided that Brock Lesnar does not head to the world of MMA, of course.
