5 Raw vs SmackDown Dream Matches that we all want to see

Raw and SmackDown are the two main brands of WWE

WWE has achieved quite some success ever since the brand extension took place in 2016. As a result of this, both Raw and SmackDown received their own roster, pay-per-views, championships, and creative team.

With lesser number of Superstars in a brand (due to the division) and the introduction of brand-specific championships, Superstars have got a higher chance of being champions.

But the problem with the brand extension is that Superstars get a limited number of feuds, due to which a lot of matches and feuds get repeated.

Here is a list of 5 inter-brand dream matches that we would all want to see.

#5 The Authors of Pain (Raw) vs The Bludgeon Brothers (SmackDown)

The Bludgeon Brothers and The Authors of Pain are undoubtedly the most dominant teams of their respective brands. Both these teams love to wreak havoc on their opponents.

The Authors of Pain made their main roster debut on the April 9 edition of Raw. They are yet to have a big match on Raw, although they have managed to lay waste on the team of Rhyno and Heath Slater on a couple of occasions and some jobbers as well.

The Bludgeon Brothers, on the other hand, had their WrestleMania moment this year when they won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Both these teams are pretty strong and a match between these two teams would definitely be one worth watching.

#4 Bobby Lashley (Raw) vs Samoa Joe (SmackDown)

Bobby Lashley recently made his much-anticipated return to the WWE. There is no questioning the sheer amount of power that Lashley possesses.

If there is anyone on the SmackDown roster who could take on the daunting size and strength of Lashley, it's Samoa Joe.

The creative team has been booking The Samoan Submission Machine as one of the strongest in the WWE. Joe almost defeated Brock Lesnar last year at the Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view and has been able to defeat Roman Reigns multiple times as well. Joe was recently drafted to SmackDown during the Superstar shake-up.

We would certainly like to see these two lock horns.

#3 "The Demon King" Finn Bálor (Raw) vs Shinsuke Nakamura (SmackDown)

The King of Strong Style might have faced and defeated Finn Bálor inside the squared circle, but he has never met The Demon King.

Bálor brings a completely different version of himself when he uses the Demon King persona. This gimmick is brought to life rarely, and mostly for high profile matches. The last time we saw Bálor use that gimmick was at the TLC pay-per-view in 2017 in a match against AJ Styles.

Bálor and Nakamura are extremely talented athletes. Add to that, Bálor's Demon King gimmick and Nakamura's heel nature. We can be sure of an excellent match between the two.

#2 Seth Rollins (Raw) vs AJ Styles (SmackDown)

Seth Rollins and AJ Styles are adored by the WWE Universe. Both of these Superstars are outstanding wrestlers to say the least.

Both these men have achieved a lot of success in their respective careers and are champions on their respective brands right now. While Rollins is the current Intercontinental champion, AJ Styles is the current WWE champion.

Rollins and Styles have wrestled before, but never in singles competition. A match between these two would be nothing short of a treat for the fans.

#1 The Shield (Raw) vs SAnitY (SmackDown)

The Shield and SAnitY are unquestionably two of the most dominant factions of the last decade.

SAnitY have had a pretty impressive run in NXT and have proved that they are a force to be reckoned with. Eric Young, Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe are all set to make their SmackDown debut as the faction SAnitY.

The Shield had been an exceptionally fierce faction, until Seth Rollins turned heel and stabbed Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns in the back. The Shield reunited last year, much to the delight of the fans. But their reunion story ended abruptly due to an injury that took Dean Ambrose out of action.

Once Ambrose returns from injury, the WWE Universe would love to see The Shield reunite for one last time to take on SAnitY.
