5 Reasons To Look Forward To Wrestlemania 34

There are always mixed emotions with Wrestlemania. Some fans feel we should receive fresh main-events. Other fans feel certain wrestlers deserve a better spot on the card and so on. But here we want to put aside the negativity and point out five reasons we should look forward to the Grandest Stage of Them All as WWE likes to call it. The biggest wrestling event of the year, where all the big stories and big matches take place.

#5 The Many "Firsts" The Show Might Have

Finn Balor, Asuka & Shinsuke Nakamura have confirmed matches for Wrestlemania. This will be their first time on the big show. Elias, Braun Strowman & Bobby Roode are three others who can potentially have their first Wrestlemania this year. On top of that is The Miz having his first defense of the Intercontinental Championship that isn't on the pre-show. Probably the most impressive "first time" is that The Usos might have their first main-card match this year.

This year's Wrestlemania may see the biggest amount of fresh blood in years as a new roster of talent has grown and established itself, while some old faces have managed to re-invent themselves. We might also see the first one-on-one match Matt Hardy has had in the event since Wrestlemania 19. This year presents a unique sense of freshness that years before did not have.

#4 It's A Show That Appeals To Every Fan

If you're not a fan of Roman vs Lesnar, that's fine. Because you also have Nakamura vs Styles. While a good part of the card hasn't been official yet, it's clear that this show is not just meant to grab media headlines or push "The Guy".

It is a show meant to appeal to everyone who watches wrestling. Whether it's with show-stealing matches for the hardcore fans in the form of Nakamura and Styles, to the big media match in Rousey and Angle vs Triple H and Stephanie, to the one for those fans of the old days in a possible Undertaker vs John Cena match. There's a match that will appeal to any kind of fan.

#3 Higher Profile For The Women

Last year saw the women receive two title matches at Wrestlemania thanks to the brand split. This year seems to be ready to expand on that as at least four matches are being teased for the event. Asuka will challenge one Champion. Alexa Bliss or Charlotte, while the other Championship will also be defended for sure.

On top of that, we already know Ronda Rousey will also compete. While it's not official yet, it is clear it will be her and Kurt Angle vs Triple H & Stephanie McMahon. The fourth teased match for the women is Sasha Banks vs Bayley, who have been having their issues for weeks. Given how highly regarded their matches in NXT are, it's only right to put this two one-on-one at Wrestlemania as WWE continues to embrace the "Women's Revolution".

#2 It's No Longer About Part-Timers

A constant criticism about Wrestlemania is how it seems to draw in all the part-timers to take spots away from the superstars who are there every day. Batista, Undertaker, Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Triple H and so on.

But this year, even though some of those guys are on the show, their roles are actually secondary to their full-time opponents. That's the case with Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns, Triple H/Stephanie McMahon vs Ronda Rousey/Kurt Angle and if it's official, Undertaker vs John Cena. This year, it's the full-time roster taking the spotlight and the part-timers can only share it.

#1 The End Of The Roman Experiment

For years we hear about
For years we hear about "this" being his moment.

Four years in the making, but this is it. If Roman Reigns defeats Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania, there is nothing else to "crown" Roman Reigns as the top star. He's already won the Royal Rumble. He's already headlined three Wrestlemania's, he's already won three WWE Championships. He's won the Grand Slam.

Finally getting the big victory over Brock Lesnar that was originally meant for him in 2015 will bring to a close the story of Roman's "crowning" as WWE's top star. Sure, he'll probably headline more Wrestlemania's. But those shows will no longer be able to carry the story of him trying to reach the top. Because once he beats Brock Lesnar for the Universal title, he will have done it all and we can finally move on to something else.
