5 Surprises That Could Happen On RAW This Week

Have we seen the end of The Shield?
Have we seen the end of The Shield?

Last week's episode of RAW left us with more questions than answers. This especially pertains to the Dean Ambrose situation, a man we saw walk out at the end of the show, making us wonder if this were indeed the end of The Shield as we know it. This week's episode of RAW could throw up more surprises. Let's discuss some of them in this article.

Let me know what you think of these surprises in the comments. One thing we can say for sure is that WWE needs a few strong surprises to make us enjoy three hours of action on a weekly basis. Even the most ardent fan needs a little shake up here and there.

Feel free to suggest your own surprises too. What would you like to see on RAW, this coming week?

Without further ado, here is my list.

#5 The end of The Shield

How will the whole Dean Ambrose situation play out?
How will the whole Dean Ambrose situation play out?

Last week on RAW, The Shield took on The Dogs of War in the main event. Following the match, Dean Ambrose walked out on his Shield Brothers, shocking all of the WWE Universe. Expect this to be the primary focus of RAW, on this week's episode, considering the world has been buzzing about it.

Is there even a remote possibility that Ambrose does not show up for the entire show, except at the very end, where he turns on his Shield Brothers, taking them both down? Does he return to throw his name into the hat and announce himself for the Universal/Intercontinental Championship picture? I certainly do think so, considering that TV viewership has not been strong with them being the primary focus.

Maybe having Ambrose feud with Reigns is the way to go about things in the upcoming months. How many times can we see Reigns vs. an absent Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman anyway, right?

#4 The Bella Twins recruit Natalya

Could we see the ultimate alliance formed against Rousey?
Could we see the ultimate alliance formed against Rousey?

The devious Bella Twins surprised the world when they turned on their friend, Ronda Rousey. This heel turn only happened to set up the main event for the Evolution pay-per-view, I understand. WWE believes that Nikki Bella is the biggest mainstream name who could square off against Rousey.

However, Ronda Rousey could be in for yet another nasty surprise when her current best friend, Natalya, turns on her, leaving her absolutely friendless. This turn of events will build up a tremendous amount of heat, heading into the big Evolution pay-per-view main event. It would also be the one shock nobody expected on the show.

I think it may be the best thing for Natalya as well, considering that she's been a background figure ever since Ronda Rousey came in. Much like Dean Ambrose, she too could benefit from a heel turn.

#3 Bobby Lashley attacks Balor

Did we see the seeds of a brand new feud sown last week?
Did we see the seeds of a brand new feud sown last week?

I really do suppose WWE does not want Finn Balor anywhere near a title right now, at least. This is pretty evident from the fact that he's just been portrayed as Bayley's MMC partner and little more over the previous weeks. Well, the good news is that they did tease a new feud for him this past week. And this feud concerns one changed and transformed man, Bobby Lashley.

Last week, we saw Lashley turn heel and appear the most interesting and relevant he's seemed in quite a while. He then shared a few harsh words with Balor backstage, when he was cutting a promo. I'm pretty sure that this was the setup for a feud between the two men, starting this week. And this feud could be initiated by a sneak attack from Lashley!

#2 Bobby Roode finally turns on Chad Gable

Could we see NXT's heel Bobby Roode emerge once again?
Could we see NXT's heel Bobby Roode emerge once again?

Can we all agree that the most relevant that Roode has been during his WWE run is when he was in NXT? Sure, he was the US Champion during his run in SmackDown Live, but we all know that he's not naturally at his best, with the goofy grin he has plastered on his face these days. Roode is generally at his best when he's both devious and menacing.

Just log into the WWE Network and check out his feud with Roderick Strong on NXT, if you missed out on just how good he can be as a heel. Coming back to the situation at hand, we saw Bobby Roode upset with the whole Chad Gable situation last week. It does seem like a heel turn is quite inevitable for Roode.

A heel vs. Gable feud could elevate both men? At least, they would not have to job to The Ascension every week.

#1 Kurt Angle returns to take charge of RAW

This is the moment we've all been waiting for
This is the moment we've all been waiting for

Let's admit for a moment that things are always better when Kurt Angle is around. We all know that he's really not in charge of RAW, but a babyface booking matches is always better than a corrupt heel GM. This past week, we saw Angle return to RAW and qualify for the World Cup. He did mention however, that he was going back on vacation.

In light of poor ratings, WWE may want to bring Angle back full time. The crowd is always hotter when Angle is booking matches. The response and respect he commands cannot be expected from Constable Corbin, at this particular stage in his career.

I can absolutely imagine Angle returning to resume charge, to kick off a feud against Constable Corbin for control of RAW. And this could spill over into Survivor Series.

If these twists happen, RAW could be very entertaining.
