5 Surprises That Could Happen on RAW This Week

Could RAW this week be the show of the year?
Could RAW this week be the show of the year?

RAW hasn't really been the most exciting show recently. The same show that used to keep us hooked to our television screens during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Eras has become a watered down version of itself. With stiff competition from the NFL, the show has seen declining ratings over the past few weeks. And unless a few surprises take place this week, it could be the same story this week as well.

In this article, I shall suggest a sum total of 5 surprises that could take place this week. Let me know in the comments if you think any of them could potentially transpire. I would love to know your thoughts and opinion about the same.

Of course, feel free to speculate in the comments section as well. Let's have some fun, folks!

Here is my list of 5 potential surprises this week...

#5 Natalya turns on Ronda Rousey

Could last week have been the setup for this big change in character?
Could last week's open challenge have been the setup for this big change in character?

Last week, Ronda Rousey laid out an open challenge to any woman in the back, to step out and compete against her. Lo and behold, it was her best friend Natalya, whose music hit. But then, the Riott Squad dragged her out to the arena, injured, having laid the hurt upon her in the backstage area.

Maybe Rousey forgets that she ever put the title on the line last week. And this causes Natalya to become jealous of her Champion friend, and blindside her, going heel in the process. It could potentially lead to a very interesting program between the two talented women.

Following Alexa Bliss, Ronda Rousey seriously needs some strong heels to work against and unfortunately, there just aren't too many villains in the RAW Women's Division right now. Plus Natalya teamed up with Kevin Owens on the Mixed Match Challenge this past week, indicating that a heel turn could indeed be imminent.

#4 Kane makes a very special appearance

The Big Red Machine could show up to hype up the match in Melbourne
The Big Red Machine could show up to hype up the match in Melbourne

The last time we saw the 'Big Red Machine', he was Daniel Bryan's partner in Team Hell No against The Bludgeon Brothers at Extreme Rules. Unfortunately, the babyfaces could not defeat the onslaught that was the mallet wielding brothers of doom. We resigned ourselves to the fact that we may never see Kane in the ring again. After all, he is serving as the Mayor of Knox County.

Vince McMahon convinced Kane to work a few dates, in return for making a donation to his county. Which means that Kane could show up on RAW this week to hype up the match in Melbourne. What a cool moment it could potentially be.

Triple H, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker have all cut promos for the match at Super Show-Down in Melbourne. Kane is the only missing piece of the puzzle, thus far.

#3 Stone Cold Steve Austin drops in

The Rattlesnake is rumoured to be the special guest referee
The Rattlesnake is rumoured to be the special guest referee in Melbourne

Imagine hearing the glass break and the earth shake, this week on RAW. Imagine the Texas Rattlesnake coming to the ring, announcing that he's the special guest referee for the Undertaker vs. Triple H clash. Such is the rumour going around anyway. How cool would it be to potentially see him return?

Maybe someone like Elias could eat a stunner or two! I'm sure even he would mark out at such an opportunity.

#2 Bobby Roode turns on Chad Gable

This is a turn we've been waiting for
This is a turn we've been waiting for

Bobby Roode and Chad Gable have been teaming up on RAW, these past few weeks. It is all too likely that this is merely a device for Roode to go heel. Roode could potentially turn on Gable and set a new feud in motion.

This will be a much needed turn for the 'glorious' one, considering how misused he's really been. Roode had all the potential in the world when he came up from NXT. Unfortunately, he's only a shadow of his former self.

Could a Roode vs. Gable feud set the world on fire, going forward? Maybe not, but the matches will be good and that's the best either man could potentially hope for.

#1 Brock Lesnar destroys Roman Reigns

And finally, we arrive at Number 1
And finally, we arrive at the Number 1 spot

We all know how Brock Lesnar will take on Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel. Could we see him show up, unannounced, to destroy the Big Dog, with none the wiser? Lesnar may want the upper hand, heading into the big match. And he's never been one to play by the rules.

Lesnar could lay the hurt upon the Universal Champion. This could lead to Roman Reigns promising a comeback at Crown Jewel. He could make a vow to rid the WWE of Brock Lesnar, come Crown Jewel in coming weeks.

Following a brutal match, we could see Lesnar take time off for his UFC return. We all know that he's scheduled to face Daniel Cormier somewhere down the line.

What do you guys think will happen on this week's episode of RAW? Please leave a comment, folks. How excited are you, heading in?
