WrestleMania 35 is four months away!
WrestleMania 35 is four months away!

WrestleMania 35 is scheduled to take place on 7th April 2019 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. As we all know it is WWE's flagship event and the longest running pay-per-view in WWE's history.

The past WrestleMania events have not received positive reviews from fans, as most of them have complained regarding the show being too long and also for the quality of matches being extremely dreadful.

WWE has to change this perspective of fans, by putting surprising matches on this year's card that fans could not expect. There are still four months left for the event and the Royal Rumble pay-per-view which will begin the "Road to WrestleMania" is set to take place next month.

So here are five surprising matches that could happen at WrestleMania next year.

#5 AOP (c) vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn (Raw Tag Team Championship Match)

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens could return as a team!

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are set to return to WWE very soon. Last week two vignettes were played for their respective returns. It seems they might not return as a team instead they would work individually, but that would be a wrong move from WWE.

If they end up feuding again, it would be boring because we have already seen that so many times not just in WWE but in other promotions as well. Owens and Zayn working as a team would be a better option because it would secure a lacking Raw tag team division also both can have a babyface run together.

Currently, Bobby Roode and Chad Gable are the Raw Tag Team Champions, but they might have a short reign and AOP could win the titles back in a rematch after they lost due to their manager Drake Maverick. Then we could have a showdown between AOP and Owens and Zayn at WrestleMania.

If the team of Owens and Zayn ends up winning, that presents Sami Zayn with his first main roster championship, while helping Kevin Owens become a Grand Slam champion. It will be a surprise as well as an exciting moment for the fans.

#4 Daniel Bryan (c) vs. The Miz (WWE Championship Match)

One of the most heated rivalries in WWE's history between The Miz and Daniel Bryan concluded at WWE Super-Show Down in Australia with Bryan becoming number one contender for WWE Championship.

Before this match, it was rumoured that Miz would defeat Bryan and then he would win the WWE Championship from AJ Styles to set-up an ultimate showdown with the latter at WrestleMania 35. From there Bryan would finally conquer Miz to become WWE Champion and re-create the yes moment once again at WrestleMania.

But in one of the biggest shocks in SmackDown's history, Bryan turned heel last month and defeated Styles to become WWE Champion. While the heel turn has been quite working for Bryan, as his merchandise sales have reduced and people have started jeering him.

As for Miz, he might be turning face after fans have been slowly getting behind him. He is currently working in a storyline with Shane McMahon which would possibly begin his babyface run.

WWE has a chance to utilize this opportunity and restart a feud between the duo at WrestleMania 35. A heel Bryan against a face Miz wouldn't be a big money match but after what these two men have gone through in their rivalry, this match definitely can be in the WrestleMania card and if it does, it would be another surprising match for the fans.

#3 The Undertaker vs. Braun Strowman

Every time we remember WrestleMania, we remember one legend, it is The Undertaker. He is by far the biggest attraction of the big event. Whenever WrestleMania season arrives every fan is curious about knowing who will face Undertaker at the show.

A month ago at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, Shawn Michaels returned from his retirement after 8 long years to team up with Triple H against Undertaker and Kane. At the event, Triple H and Michaels were victorious, with Undertaker and Kane attacking both of them after the match.

Before this match, it was rumored that WWE was planning to do Undertaker against Michaels again at WrestleMania next year. But after this match, rumors begin floating that WWE could have cancelled the plan, due to Triple H getting injured because he was involved in the storyline.

Now, whether the match happens or not is unclear right now. But basically, fans want to see a current roster superstar facing Undertaker. So out of all superstars in the current roster, Braun Stowman deserves the chance to face Undertaker. As in the past, WWE has teased a feud between the duo, but yet we have never seen a one-on-one match.

Strowman is scheduled to face Brock Lesnar for Universal Championship at Royal Rumble next month, Undertaker can interfere in the match and cost Strowman the title which would be built a feud for WrestleMania 35 or both of them can also have a face off in the Royal Rumble match which would also lead to a match at WrestleMania 35.

There are various options to make this rivalry happen and again if it happens WWE fans will be surprised.

#2 Four Horsewomen of WWE vs. Four Horsewomen of MMA

Since Ronda Rousey has joined WWE, one match that fans have been demanding for is the Four Horsewomen of WWE against Four Horsewomen of MMA. It seems WWE has been so desperate to do this money match that they signed all of Rousey's teammates.

The first teaser of this match begins during the first season of Mae Young Classic where Shayna Baszler who was one of the participants in the tournament was supported by her teammates Rousey, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir, watching the contest with the crowd and Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Bayley were sitting on the other corner with the crowd.

From that point, it was rumored that this match might happen at Survivor Series 2017 but it didn't. When Rousey signed with WWE, again it was rumored that this match will be Rousey's first match at Wrestlemania 34, unfortunately, it didn't happen again.

But now is the right time to make this match, as seen in NXT Takeover: War Games 2 Baszler was accompanied in the ring by Shafir and Duke during her title match, which means they might be ready for in-ring debut. Also with Rousey costing Flair and Lynch the SmackDown Women's Title at TLC 2018, it is possible WWE might be planning this feud.

Although it is being rumored that Rousey will defend her Raw Women's Title in a Triple Threat against Lynch and Flair at WrestleMania. Then also we could have a dream face-off between all the women in the Royal Rumble match which would finally lead to a match between the two groups at WrestleMania 35, this would not just surprise fans, it would also be an exciting prospect too.

#1 Brock Lesnar (c) vs. AJ Styles (WWE Universal Championship Match)

Whatever happened on this past week's SmackDown between Vince McMahon and AJ Styles is clearly leading to something big for Styles. WWE has been pushing him since he debuted in 2016, he was WWE Champion for nearly a year until he lost it last month to Daniel Bryan.

Whenever McMahon is involved in an angle with a WWE Superstar it always leads to a big push further on. Styles lost his WWE Championship rematch to Bryan at TLC, so now he would possibly end up in the Royal Rumble match itself.

If he ends up winning it, then we could get the match that was expected to happen last month at Survivor Series which was Brock Lesnar facing AJ Styles (Part 2) since this match happened at last year's Survivor Series where Lesnar was victorious.

There are many rumors that Seth Rollins is expected to win the Royal Rumble match and face Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 but that could have changed now after there were also rumors that McMahon was unhappy about the lacklustre reaction to Rollins's match against Dean Ambrose for Intercontinental Title at TLC 2018.

There could be a chance that these rumors are false but if Styles indeed ends up winning the Royal Rumble match and faces Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 it would be really surprising for fans watching the event.
