The build to Survivor Series could kick off next week
The build to Survivor Series could kick off next week

Crown Jewel is in the rearview mirror, as we head on towards Survivor Series 2018 at full blast. Fans are still seething about the fact that Brock Lesnar is the new Universal Champion.

Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news.

And the worst sign of things to come is that he was absent from proceedings, a week after he won the title. However, he is scheduled to be at RAW next week, and chaos could ensue.

Lesnar is scheduled to take on AJ Styles, at Survivor Series this year. But he holds the most prestigious prize in the business and has a target on his back. One or more of the people at RAW could be gunning for The Beast Incarnate.

So, in this article, I shall attempt to outline five scenarios regarding what could transpire on next week's edition of RAW. Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts regarding the same.

What do you think will happen when The Beast Incarnate shows up again?

#5 The usual Paul Heyman promo

Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman...
Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman...

This is, by far, the most unexciting possibility in this list. It is all too probable that Paul Heyman will show up with Lesnar by his side and cut a promo on how he will make short work of AJ Styles.

This would be in the vein of the promos Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch have been cutting on one another, over the past week.

Of course, Paul Heyman is a master with the microphone and this is guaranteed to be a pretty good promo.

But at the same time, we've seen this song and dance in the past, on more than one occasion. Therefore, it is not exciting.

I'd much prefer to see any of the other possibilities that I've outlined in this list. Scroll on to find out what exactly they are...

#4 Paul Heyman invites DC to WWE

Could Lesnar vs. DC happen outside the octagon?
Could Lesnar vs. DC happen outside the octagon?

Daniel Cormier may be one the most celebrated Mixed Martial Artists in the history of the combat sport. We all saw him make short work of Stipe Miocic at UFC 226.

Everyone also remembers a certain beast entering the octagon after his win, and pushing Daniel Cormier around. But reports have surfaced that this fight may not even happen.

According to Dave Meltzer, it may be difficult to make the fight happen now that Lesnar has signed a new deal with WWE.

Rumours suggest that with Cormier confirming that he'll be retiring after his 40th birthday next year, this fight may forever remain a fantasy. Now bear in mind that Daniel Cormier is a huge WWE fan too.

WWE may want to capitalize on the hype of this fight. Heyman may invite DC for a showdown with Lesnar at WrestleMania or at a later date. Whether it's a match or not, this could equal big bucks!

#3 The SmackDown Live invasion begins

Could we get a preview of the action on RAW this week?
Could we get a preview of the action on RAW this week?

Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles had quite the match at Survivor Series last year. Lesnar sold a good deal for Styles, something nobody had expected to see.

This year, the two men will clash again in a battle for the ages, once again. Could we see Styles invading RAW to take Brock Lesnar out?

Imagine the visual of the two champions fighting, as RAW goes off the air. It would pique our interest in the action to follow.

Lesnar is pretty much a heel right now, at least to fans, because nobody wants him as Champion.

Styles may even get a pop on RAW, even if he were the 'invading party'. It would also make for an interesting twist or two on SmackDown Live.

Imagine seeing The Beast run wild on SmackDown Live!

#2 The Drew McIntyre build leads to Lesnar

Drew McIntyre is clearly being groomed to be the next Universal Champion
Drew McIntyre is clearly being groomed to be the next Universal Champion

The company seems to be very high on Drew McIntyre right now. Last week, we saw him defeat Kurt Angle rather comprehensively and score a decisive win on the Olympic Gold Medalist. Mark Henry even put him over on Busted Open Radio and called him a future World Champion, as well.

Could we see a preview of things to come after Survivor Series as soon as this week? Could we see McIntyre and Lesnar come face to face, in a clash of titans? I know I would certainly be interested to see these two men lock horns in due course of time.

McIntyre may even turn babyface in a feud with Lesnar, considering he's a full-time performer. Could the build to this epic clash begin this week, with a face to face confrontation?

#1 Muscle for Corbin against Strowman

Corbin really needs some foolproof protection against Braun Strowman
Corbin really needs some foolproof protection against Braun Strowman

We saw Baron Corbin help Brock Lesnar win the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel. And since then, Corbin has been running for his life.

He barely got away last week, stepping into a limo as the Monster came charging in to attack him. Even the security personnel hired to protect Corbin was no match for The Monster Among Men.

The only person that can stand up to Strowman is Lesnar. Lesnar is a man that has beaten Strowman on multiple occasions. Maybe Corbin tells Lesnar that he'll be his protection against Braun Strowman.

This could help prolong the storyline between The Beast and Strowman because I have a feeling that it is far from over. RAW next week could potentially be a very memorable show.

What do you think will happen when Lesnar shows up next week on RAW, readers?
