WWE wrestlers need to have a good physique and decent voice to entertain the audience. Some wrestlers have both, while some lack mic skills. Mic skills aren't required in other sports, but in sports entertainment, it is one of the main things you can't ignore.

However, some wrestlers are good in the ring, but their voices aren't capable of drawing the attention of the fans. This is why in the WWE, some wrestlers have managers who handle their mic work and other things.

Paul Heyman is a great speaker, and many consider him the god of the mic. He has managed many wrestlers in the past, and currently manages the former WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

He has been working for the company for many years now, but many of his fans don't know much about him. Here are five things you probably didn't know about Paul Heyman.

We all know how great he is as a manager and on the mic. Currently, he is the manager of Lesnar and because of him, Lesnar managed to become 'The Next Big Thing' in the WWE. Lesnar does great work in the ring, but just in-ring skills doesn't make a wrestler successful, mic skills are important as well.

Fans know Lesnar as the Paul Heyman guy, but most fans of this era don't know that Heyman has managed many top champions in the WWE.

Lesnar and Punk are some of his most successful clients in the WWE, but apart from them, he has also managed Big Show, Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle, The Miz, Rey Mysterio, and Stone Cold Steve Austin at some point.

However, most of them were his clients for only a short period of time, and this is why a majority of fans are not aware of this fact.

#4 Mocked Jerry Lawler by faking a cardiac arrest on live TV

On 10 September 2012 on Raw, Jerry Lawler suffered a legitimate cardiac arrest. Then he was feuding with CM Punk, and also defeated him in a tag team match alongside Randy Orton prior.

After returning to the company, he gave a 'thank you' speech to the WWE Universe, but after that, he got interrupted by Punk and Heyman.

Punk insulted him by saying that his cardiac arrest was just a stunt to steal the spotlight. Heyman then faked a cardiac arrest to mock Lawler, and this segment shocked many fans.

Punk was one of the best heel wrestlers of that time, and this incident allowed him to generate more heat among the fans. However it was already scripted, and Lawler already knew about this.

He once mentioned on the Stone Cold Steve Austin podcast that he has some scripts prepared for Hollywood, but he is waiting for the right time.

Heyman was a writer for the WWE, and has some experience in making great storylines. He appeared on "Rollerball" movie where he played the role of an announcer.

He has pitched many script ideas, but only time will tell if he will be able to make his name in Hollywood or not.

#2 He was getting paid by the WWF while working for the ECW

Paul Heyman did everything to make ECW the best wrestling promotion. He even managed to make it the 3rd biggest sports entertainment company after WWE and WCW during the Attitude Era.

At one point, McMahon paid thousands of dollars per week to Heyman for using some of the ECW wrestlers.

#1 Lesnar is his real life best friend

Lesnar has admitted that he doesn't like people close to him, this makes it very difficult for one to manage a friendly relationship with The Beast.

However, Heyman is one of those people who has managed to become one of the closest friends of Lesnar.

This year WWE tried to show us that Paul is not Lesnar's friend, but only a manager. That wasn't true.

According to a report, Lesnar even refused to return to the company back in 2012 if the company wouldn't bring Heyman back to his side. This shows us how close Lesnar and Heyman are in real life.
