5 Unannounced Matches we could get at Hell in a Cell 2018

Hell in a Cell 2018 could have some surprise matches
Hell in a Cell 2018 could have some surprise matches

Hell in a Cell 2018 is just days away and it has a pretty decent looking card. We have Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman for the Universal Title, as well as Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton taking place inside the titular 'Satantic Structure'

We have a few other title matches with AJ Styles facing Samoa Joe for the WWE Title, Ronda and Alexa, as well as, Becky and Charlotte do battle over the red and blue Women's Titles respectively and there's tag team title action with The Shield minus Reigns taking on Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre and The New Day facing Rusev Day.

The last match is a mixed-gender tag-team match between Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella Vs. The Miz and Maryse in what is sure to be a match that extends the feud between Bryan and Miz even further

But that's just eight matches, which doesn't seem enough to fill a four-hour card, so there's every chance we'll get some unannounced matches, we take a look at what matches might take us by surprise at Hell in a Cell

#5 Bobby Lashley Vs. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens may have started something with Bobby Lashley
Kevin Owens may have started something with Bobby Lashley

Kevin Owens returned from 'quitting' Monday Night Raw to attack Bobby Lashley from behind and take 'The Dominator' down with a Pop-Up Powerbomb onto the ring apron. This was something that took a lot of people by surprise.

However, on the following Monday Night Raw, the go-home show for Hell in a Cell, all we really saw as a promo from Owens saying he was going to hurt people again, and Bobby Lashley intensely training with Lio Rush, who appears to be his new manager.

It's clear that Lashley is going to want some retribution against Owens for his ambush, but it's not clear when we're going to see it happen. Hell in a Cell is as good a place as any to start!

#4 Chad Gable and Bobby Roode Vs. The Ascension

Roode and Gable could continue their 'rocky' partnership
Roode and Gable could continue their 'rocky' partnership

These two teams have gone head to head over the last two weeks on Monday Night Raw with the new, thrown together, pairing of Chad Gable and Bobby Roode triumphing over Viktor and Konnor both times.

The WWE are telling a story here of a power struggle between Gable and Roode with both men wanting to be the best one within their partnership. They sewed a little dissension on Monday Night Raw with Gable tagging himself in and stealing Roode's thunder, so why not continue that at Hell in a Cell!

#3 Carmella and R-Truth Vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas and Zelina Vega

More mixed-tag-team action?
More mixed-tag-team action?

Both of these mixed-gender tag-teams found themselves getting involved in the heated rivalry between Daniel Bryan and The Miz when Bryan competed in singles action against Almas and The Miz and Maryse couldn't help getting involved.

R-Truth and Almas ended up going one on one on SmackDown Live, with Almas picking up a win over the seasoned veteran. However, with the Mixed Match Challenge on the horizon and Almas being as talented as he is, why wouldn't you kill two birds with one stone and promote the Facebook Live show and get, arguably, your best wrestler on the show?

#2 Naomi and Asuka Vs. The IIconics

Could the IIconics be in action at Hell in a Cell?
Could the IIconics be in action at Hell in a Cell?

The IIconics had been tormenting Naomi for a couple of weeks and were about to do the same a couple of weeks ago. That was until Naomi revealed she had a backup in 'The Empress of Tomorrow' Asuka.

Asuka and Naomi chased the IIconics off, but a backstage promo on the go-home episode of SmackDown indicated that things weren't over between the two pairings of female WWE Superstars. So, if Hell in a Cell needs to put another match on, putting this four women in the ring wouldn't be a bad idea!

#1 Cedric Alexander Vs. Buddy Murphy/Drew Gulak

Why aren't the Cruiserweights on the card?
Why aren't the Cruiserweights on the card?

It's been a while since we've seen a Cruiserweight match on the main card of a Pay-Per-View and with some of the matches these guys have been pulling off on 205 Live and the pre-shows of Pay-Per-Views that really is a crying shame.

With only eight matches announced and a lot of time to fill this is the perfect opportunity to showcase your Cruiserweights on a big stage and you can continue the current storylines current champion Cedric Alexander has with Drew Gulak or Buddy Murphy.

Plus, with neither the United States or Intercontinental Title being defended on the show, having a Cruiserweight Title match sort-of makes up for that!
