5 ways to utilize a rejuvenated Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins is on fire, and he needs to BURN IT DOWN!
Seth Rollins is on fire

Seth Rollins produced a star-making performance this week on WWE Raw which led to an exponential rise in his popularity. The former ROH product was once primed to be the next face of WWE, even defeating legends like Sting and John Cena. But an unfortunate injury derailed his momentum.

Ever since his return in the summer of 2016, Rollins has failed to recapture the magic that once made him a compelling heel champion. Although he's still had a few memorable matches, a string of poor storylines have contrived to keep the Iowa native firmly entrenched in mid-card purgatory.

However, thanks to back-to-back wins over Reigns and Cena, Rollins now finds himself riding a wave of momentum. With that being said, here are 5 ways WWE could utilise of the rejuvenated Architect.

#5 Revengeful brother

Heel Roman v Face Rollins? Take my money!
Heel Roman v Face Rollins? Take my money!

Seth Rollins shocked the WWE Universe when he first turned heel in 2014, assaulting Roman Reigns, his "brother-in-arms", with a steel chair. He then had a successful heel run and even cashed in Money in the Bank on the Big Dog at WrestleMania 31.

Rollins and Reigns have collided in the past, with Rollins playing the conniving heel and Reigns the all-conquering babyface. Watching the Architect hunt down his former comrade after WrestleMania 34 and claim the Universal Championship would be a sight to behold.

#4 Dean Ambrose: The Lunatic Fringe

Could the tables (or chairs) turn on Seth Rollins this time?

In 2014, Seth Rollins betrayed not only Roman Reigns but also his unhinged stablemate, Dean Ambrose. The Architect and Ambrose had a great feud after the breakup of the Hounds of Justice and finally reconciled at Summerslam 2017, sowing the seeds for a Shield Reunion later in the year.

While he's found decent success in the role, Ambrose has played the role of a babyface for far too long. A heel turn and subsequent feud with Rollins after his return from injury would allow the Lunatic Fringe to revitalise his character.

After all, Ambrose has all the attributes needed to play a great heel and will almost certainly produce more compelling television with Rollins.

#3 The Architect vs. The Franchise

Rollins and Cena can produce an exceptional rivalry
Rollins and Cena can produce an exceptional rivalry

John Cena has been one of the pillars of WWE for the better part of the last decade and has now realised that he is on borrowed time. Cena is struggling to beat his opponents with a move which was once the deadliest manoeuvre in professional wrestling.

On the other hand, Seth Rollins wants to become the face of the company and will do whatever it takes. Rollins vs Cena will not be the freshest of programs and, considering the fact that both of them are babyfaces, is almost inconceivable.

However, Cena has gone up against several babyfaces while being one himself and has elevated almost every single one of his opponents.

#2 A move to Tuesday nights?

Could the Viper renew his rivalry with Seth Rollins?

At present, there are seven full-time Superstars on Monday Night Raw who could call themselves outright main-event contenders. Add injured duo of Samoa Joe and Dean Ambrose along with Brock Lesnar to that list and you have 10 of the biggest Superstars in professional wrestling all appearing on one three-hour show.

Rollins has suffered from being on the crowded Raw roster for too long and a switch to SmackDown Live would help matters. Heading into WrestleMania season, Rollins will find several worthy opponents in Bobby Roode, Sami Zayn and Randy Orton, on Tuesday Nights. He could even challenge "The Phenomenal One" AJ Styles for the WWE title.

#1 WrestleMania 31 revisited

Could this be the sight come Wrestlemania?
Could this be the sight come WrestleMania?

Not many are be aware of it, but WrestleMania 31 concluded with Seth Rollins stealing the WWE Championship. Rollins has never gotten a chance to reach the heights of his 2015 run this is the perfect opportunity to catapult him into the main-event picture.

Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns is said to be set in stone for WrestleMania 34, and the addition of Seth Rollins to it will bring smiles to the faces of the WWE Universe. The long drawn out push of Reigns has never pleased the WWE fanbase and the addition of a massive fan-favourite should make things better.

Replicating the main event of WrestleMania 31 would be the perfect way to cap off this year's Showcase of the Immortals.
