5 wrestlers who manhandled Brock Lesnar

These men proved that even The Beast is not bulletproof
These men proved that even The Beast is not bulletproof

Ever since he made his way to WWE in 2002, Brock Lesnar has been booked, quite literally, as a beast. It is rare indeed to see him take a beating at the hands of any opponent. So, the instances where he gets manhandled are very few and far between. However, we've compiled a list of 5 situations, where even he showed his vulnerable side.

Mind you, in a lot of these scenarios, Lesnar did have the last laugh. However, for a fleeting moment, there was an element of doubt that even Lesnar was not absolutely invulnerable. That even he could be manhandled, by the right opponent.

Of course, there's solid reasoning behind his booking. After all, he's an NCAA Champion and a UFC Champion, in addition to everything he's achieved in professional wrestling.

As we approach a year with Brock Lesnar as Universal Champion, let's take a stroll down memory lane, with this countdown.

#5 Braun Strowman

Let's begin with the most recent instance of the topic we've outlined. At RAW 25, a star-studded show with several superstars from the past, Brock Lesnar, Kane and Braun Strowman would come out for a face off in the middle of the ring ahead of their epic clash at Royal Rumble 2018.

Much to the surprise of everyone in attendance, Strowman would have the last laugh. RAW 25 ended with the sight of Strowman putting Lesnar through a table. And this is not the first time that Strowman had taken Lesnar to school.

Remember the time when Strowman looked absolutely indestructible at the SummerSlam pay-per-view? Yes, Strowman has a history of manhandling Lesnar.

Maybe one-day Strowman will actually pin Lesnar, as well!

#4 Goldberg

Who can forget this match? At Survivor Series 2016, the world watched in awe as Goldberg made his way back to WWE. And in no time at all, Goldberg managed to absolutely take Lesnar to school, spearing him and then delivering the Jackhammer! It was an outcome that almost nobody expected.

The two men played out their rivalry in a fantastic manner over the next few months, through the Royal Rumble, all the way to WrestleMania 33. Goldberg would drop the Universal Championship at WrestleMania, and do the honours for the Beast Incarnate. Lesnar has not dropped the title since.

What remains etched in the sight of fans, of course, is the sight of a shocked and vulnerable Lesnar. Something that the WWE Universe has not seen too often, and will probably not see many more times in the near future!

As short and sweet as this match was, it was truly one for the ages.

#3 Big Show

Even if Lesnar manages to take out his opponents when the bell rings, there's a constant feature in the lead up to all his big matches. For a moment, he makes us believe that the opponent has a chance, every time.

Going into Royal Rumble 2014, The Big Show looked like a legitimate threat to Brock Lesnar. Of course, when the bell actually rang, Lesnar picked up the eventual win!

In the altercation that preceded the match, The Big Show would toss Lesnar out of the ring. Lesnar has hardly seemed as out of sorts, as he did after he spilled out of the ring.

One of the most understated aspects of Brock Lesnar's arsenal is his innate ability to sell for his opponents. An ability he demonstrated admirably during this program.

#2 Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe was one of the biggest stars in TNA history. He was a big deal in NXT as well. However, it was the program with Brock Lesnar that established him as one of RAW's top stars. Especially the segment where he choked Lesnar out and made him go purple.

It was a sight that nobody ever expected to see. Samoa Joe was upper mid-card at best, but the way that Lesnar sold for him, established him into top-tier talent. Of course, one measly F5 was all it took in the pay-per-view that followed, to defeat the Samoan Submission Machine.

In addition to manhandling Brock Lesnar, Samoa Joe had impeccable chemistry with Paul Heyman as well. Their exchange was realistic and a nice departure from the feuds of the current era.

#1 The Undertaker

Before Brock Lesnar would end The Undertaker's streak, the two men met on an episode of RAW, and The Undertaker impaled Lesnar's hand with a pen, before the WWE Universe. He would then take Lesnar apart, putting him through a table.

Of course, this was just Lesnar's stepping stone to changing the course of history. But when it did happen, the WWE Universe was elated. Just listen to the crowd!

And that brings us to the end of this countdown. Do you remember any other instances where Brock Lesnar was rag-dolled by a fellow WWE superstar?
