Wrestlers lead a different lifestyle compared to your average Joe. After all, they chose to get their behinds kicked every single night and make money doing it. So it would only be normal for them to do interesting things away from the ring as well.

This list takes a look at 5 wrestlers with interesting hobbies.

Notable exclusions include Kenny Omega's love for anime, Kofi Kingston's collection of action figures, Shelton Benjamin's video game addiction and Dean Ambrose's passion for mountain biking.

#1 William Regal — pet reptiles

William Regal has always been a man of peculiar tastes. The brawler from Blackpool started wrestling for money when he was fifteen years old and was fired from WCW in 1998 for outwrestling the all-conquering Goldberg in a match using shoot style moves.

Regal has been treated for a life threating heart problem, allegedly received steroids from the WWE and has even landed in a prison cell in Alaska after getting drunk and urinating on a stewardess during a flight from Japan to the United States.

So it is hardly likely that Regal would have hobbies that people consider normal; in fact, Regal's precious pastime outside the WWE is taking care of his pets. Regal does have dogs and cats as pets — but his favourites are all reptilian.

Regal owns two snakes and eight lizards as pets, because as he once said: "Humans disgust me". The former Intercontinental champion and King of the Ring winner has around 20 different species of pets in his home.

#2 Jeff Hardy — painting

Jeff Hardy is one of the most talented superstars to ever set foot inside a wrestling ring. In addition to his multiple World Heavyweight, Tag team and Secondary Championships, the man is also a true artist.

Jeff once made a 30-foot statue out of tin foil called 'Neroameee', created an artificial volcano in his front yard and then used his dirtbike to jump over it. Oh, and he also has his own band, writes poems and has created artworks on grass.

But his greatest hobby is painting. Jeff has made quite a few paintings which can be found on his personal website. They are for sale with prices starting at $480.

Many of his paintings contain human faces which Jeff says he loves. As you can expect from Hardy, the final product is pretty good.

#3 Finn Balor — Legos

Finn Balor isn't the extrovert type — his favourite hobby is not frequenting bars or getting together with women. He prefers to stay at home and play with his Legos instead. Yes, you heard that right - Legos!!

Balor works on long Lego projects while he is at home. An NXT video package featuring the Irishman saw him passionately working on Lego displays while recovering at home from an injury.

The hobby might not be the most exciting for a passive onlooker, but Balor sure seems to have fun doing it.

#4 CM Punk — comics

CM Punk's love for comics is well known. Since stepping away from the WWE, Punk has even been hired to write material for Marvel Comics. Punk is working on the Drax comic book series, a character portrayed by fellow WWE alumnus Batista on the big screen.

Punk was vocal about his love for comics during his time in the WWE as well. The famous " It's clobbering time" phrase that he yelled during his entrance was inspired by "the Thing" from the Fantastic Four.

Punk may not be wrestling anymore, but a comic book fan he will always remain.

#5 Brock Lesnar — farming

Brock Lesnar is one of the rarities in all of sports or sports entertainment. He doesn't rush after fast cars like John Cena, doesn't try to provide his opinion on all matters under the sun like Chris Jericho and isn't even interested in amassing a fortune like Vince McMahon.

What Lesnar really wants is to be left alone. The former UFC and current WWE Universal Champion wasn't the mute destroyer during his initial run in the WWE. While he was very much the Beast that he is portrayed today, he was known to pick up the microphone and cut a promo.

But since his return to the company, Lesnar has adamantly refused to do anything that he doesn't want to. He rarely talks, isn't even scheduled to appear on half of the TV shows despite being Champion and still collects a huge paycheck.

Having never been truly passionate about professional wrestling or MMA, Lesnar views both art forms as nothing more than professions. His true passion is to kick back and lead a secluded life on his farm.

Lesnar and his wife, Sable, live on a farm in Moosomin, Saskatchewan, where he indulges in his first love of farming in his considerable free time. He also enjoys hunting on his vast tracts of land. Having grown up on a dairy farm in South Dakota, Lesnar never really liked the hustle of the big city and is unlikely to change that lifestyle anytime soon.

"I just like being old school and living in the woods and living my life. I came from nothing, and at any moment, you can go back to having nothing," Lesnar said of his lifestyle in 2010.
