7 bold predictions for Crown Jewel's go-home episode of Raw (29 October 2018)

Could the beast make his presence felt this week on Raw?
Could the beast make his presence felt this week on Raw?

The last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was full of shocks. The night began with Roman Reigns disclosing that he is fighting Leukemia and has to relinquish the Universal Championship. The news took the entire world by surprise and the fans along with the Superstars poured out their hearts in the support of the Champion.

The departure of Roman Reigns left the Shield without their power-house. However, the faction had its other two spearheads competing for the Raw tag team championships against their arch-rivals. Although the duo won the tag team gold, it was a short-lived celebration as Dean Ambrose viciously attacked Seth Rollins moments after winning the match. His attack ensured that the Shield is now in the history books.

Considering all the happenings from that eventful night, here are the predictions for the go-home episode of Monday Night Raw for Crown Jewel.

#7 Seth Rollins confronts Dean Ambrose, both relinquish the tag team championships

Seth would be looking to knock some sense into Dean's head.
Seth would be looking to knock some sense into Dean's head.

Seth Rollins tried his best to convince Dean Ambrose over the last couple of weeks to keep him with the brotherhood. However, things went south after the latter executed an attack from behind last week.

Seth Rollins will call out Dean Ambrose and will demand an explanation for his actions. Notably, both these Superstars are the new tag team champions. However, it is quite visible that both these men won’t be willing to keep it.

It is safe to say that they will relinquish their newly earned championships after what has transpired last week. It is highly probable that these two will be involved in the physical confrontation.

It appears that Roman Reigns was the glue that was keeping the Shield intact. Notably, the three Superstars reunited to ensure that Braun Strowman couldn’t cash-in his Money in the Bank contract on the “Big Dog”.

#6 Brother of Destruction destructs the NWO

It won't the return NWO would be expecting.
It won't the return NWO would be expecting.

This week Raw is scheduled to feature the reunion of the NWO, which is one of the oldest and the most dominating faction in the history of this business. Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall are the members of this prestigious group. Not to mention, the other members are Triple H and Shawn Michaels, who also happen to be the members of DX.

Interestingly, DX is going to face the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel in a week’s time. Out of all the possible matches for Shawn Michaels, he has decided to lace up his boots against the Demon brothers. Hence, the Undertaker and Kane will certainly have a message of their own which they would want to deliver to their opponents.

Hence, it is possible that they will attack the NWO in order to get under the skin of their rivals. Last week, they sent a video message which showed them setting the tombstones for Triple H and HBK in a graveyard. They can make a bigger impact this week if they indeed attack the returning faction.

#5 Bobby Lashley challenges Finn Balor for a match at Crown Jewel

Bobby ended with a sour taste in his mouth last Monday.
Bobby ended with a sour taste in his mouth last Monday.

Bobby Lashley executed an attack on Kevin Owens a couple of weeks ago, which established him as one of the best Heels on WWE as of now. Since then, he has been beating his own drum, thanks to his lead drummer Lio Rush.

Two weeks ago, both these men interrupted Finn Balor and his mixed match partner, Bayley, when they were celebrating their victory in the ring. This resulted in a match between Lashley and Balor on the last Monday night.

The Dominator suffered a loss in this match when Finn Balor defeated him. Although the win was a clear one, it came as a result of a quick roll up.

Hence, the loser from last week would be looking to set the record straight against the Demon King by challenging him to a match at Crown Jewel. If the Irish Superstar accepts the challenge, it will be a solid mid-card match for the event.

#4 Baron Corbin forces Elias to face AOP in a handicap match

Was that the last walk with Elias?
Was that the last walk with Elias?

In an unexpected turn of events, Elias smashed a guitar over the back of Baron Corbin, when the latter rudely interrupted the “Walk With Elias” concert and asked him to get off the stage.

The acting General Manager of Raw is known to keep a tab on his enemies and would be looking to take revenge on the Guitarist this week. Since Stephanie McMahon has questioned his judgement when he put himself in a Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns, he would be willing to let someone else do the dirty work for him.

Hence, he could make a handicap match between Elias and the Authors of Pain. Notably, it is the same faction whom he chose to face Kurt Angle after he outsmarted him to get a spot in the WWE World Cup tournament. AOP would be willing to help Baron Corbin here as it also helps them to get an opportunity for the tag team gold.

#3 The Evolution aftermath

What's next after Evolution?
What's next after Evolution?

The first ever all women’s PPV is going to happen this Sunday in New York, which is going to be a milestone for the Women’s Division. The fans around the World are speculating the results predictions for Evolution, where Ronda Rousey will face Nikki Bella for the Raw Women’s Championship.

There is also a Battle Royal scheduled to take place at the event, whose winner is guaranteed to get a women’s championship match. If the winner is from Raw, her eyes will be set on the back of the winner of the Women’s championship match on Sunday.

Additionally, the PPV is also going to feature the final of 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament, where Io Shirai is going to compete against Toni Storm. It is quite possible that the winner of this prestigious tournament decides to make her presence felt the following night on Raw by starting a feud.

#2 Braun Strowman faces Drew McIntyre in the main event

It's the writing on the wall.
It's the writing on the wall.

For the last two weeks, Braun Strowman has been on the receiving end of the Claymore Kick, thanks to Drew McIntyre. The first one came when the Monster Among Men put Dolph Ziggler through a running Powerslam after the three of them lost their match against the Shield.

Last week, the Scottish Superstar decided to take the Monster out before his tag team championship match and delivered another thunderous Claymore Kick to Strowman when he was addressing Paul Heyman. As a result, Strowman interfered in the tag team championship match and cost the gold to the team of Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.

Hence, it is safe to say that these two men would be willing to tear each other apart this week on Raw, which most probably would be the main event of the show. It will be interesting to see Braun Strowman’s mindset for this match ahead of this championship match next Sunday.

#1 Brock Lesnar returns, attacks Braun Strowman, faces a Claymore Kick

Could a Lesnar-McIntyre feud be in the making?
Could a Lesnar-McIntyre feud be in the making?

No one would be expecting Brock Lesnar to appear this week on Raw. Ironically, that’s the situation when the attack from the Beast Incarnate could prove fatal. Notably, he attacked Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman during their match at Hell in the Cell. His attack has earned him a place in the championship match at Crown Jewel.

The former and the longest reigning Universal Champion could make his presence felt this Monday by attacking Braun Strowman when the latter would have his hands as well as his mind occupied by Drew McIntyre.

However, Drew McIntyre would take an exception to this attack, if it indeed happens. He has shown that he is not afraid of anyone on the roster, and he can deliver a Claymore Kick to Brock Lesnar as well to prove this further. This could potentially lead to a Triple Threat match at Crown Jewel for the Universal Championship.
