What's the story?
Braun Strowman has been booked as a monster over the past few months and even though he missed the 2018 Royal Rumble because he was part of the Universal Championship match, it seems that many fans are already looking forward to 2019.
In case you didn't know...
Strowman was part of The Royal Rumble back in 2017 and was able to last for 13 minutes before he was eliminated by Baron Corbin, who at the time was being pushed towards the WWE Championship but his Money In The Bank cash in didn't exactly go to plan.
Over the past few months, 'The Monster Among Men' has completed a number of feats of strength that have proved that he is a future contender for the Universal Championship, which means that it is highly likely that he could win next year's Rumble match.
Strowman was probably not put into this year's Rumble because of how much of a beast he was at the time and the company didn't want to halt his momentum by allowing him to be eliminated from the match.
The heart of the matter
Even though this year's Royal Rumble match only took place a month ago, it seems that many of the WWE Universe are already looking forward to next year's Rumble match with BetWrestling.com releasing the fact that Strowman is already the favourite for the match.
The odds for the match see him in first place whilst Roman Reigns is the next most favoured at +350 followed by Brock Lesnar, John Cena and AJ Styles who all have +600 odds of winning and are all tied for third.
Strowman would obviously be seen as a serious contender for the Rumble given the run that he has been on over the past few months and the fact that Lesnar may not be part of the company in 2019.
What's next?
It's just over five weeks until WrestleMania now and Strowman hasn't been given a match for the event yet.
There were once plans for him to face The Miz but since Seth Rollins and Finn Balor have been put into that match instead.
His plans are now seemingly up in the air when it comes to the biggest event of the year but it is thought that he will definitely have a match as part of the show.
Author's take
Strowman will definitely be one of the best names to win the 2019 Rumble, it would then hopefully lead to a main event match for The Monster Among Men at WrestleMania.
He deserves to be pushed into something of that level and there isn't anyone in the company who needs this kind of boost like Strowman.
