Five Superstars Who Could be Paul Heyman's Next Client

Heyman and Lesnar came to blows on this week's Raw

This past week on Raw, Brock Lesnar snapped and assaulted his long-time manager, Paul Heyman.

Heyman and Lesnar have a long and storied history, and this isn't exactly the first time the two of them have come to blows.

Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news.

What makes this time different though, is the fact that it looks as though Lesnar could be on his way out of the company for a while, which leaves Heyman without anybody to manage.

While Heyman was 'fired' on Monday, it seems unlikely that the company would be willing to lose such a valuable asset.

In times when great managers are so few and far between, Heyman's ability to get stars over should be cherished by the WWE. While there may have been plenty of times Heyman has failed to get a star over, when he has succeeded, he has shown that there is no-one in the business better at it than him.

With Lesnar out of the picture, let's take a look at five superstars who could be Paul Heyman's next client.

#1 Roman Reigns

Reigns could use an advocate

Whether fans like it or not, Roman Reigns is going to be sticking around the main event scene for the foreseeable future.

There is every chance that Reigns will dethrone Lesnar at SummerSlam, and avoid any sort of potential Universal title cash-ins as well.

If that is the case, then fans will be wanting to see something different from Reigns, preferably, a heel turn.

If Reigns were to finally turn heel, then having him side with Heyman would be a great way to really get him over as one of the big bad guys on the roster.

Lesnar being screwed by Heyman has happened in the past, and while Heyman's run with Big Show in 2002 didn't exactly set the world on fire, it is still fondly remembered by a lot of fans.

#2 The Authors of Pain

After managing Lesnar for more or less the last six years, Heyman might fancy a change of pace once The Beast Incarnate has gone.

The former SmackDown GM has not managed a tag team for quite some time, and The Authors of Pain are in need of something to help them get over on the main roster.

One reason for the group's success in NXT was the constant presence of Paul Ellering, but the manager was scrapped when the team moved up to Monday nights.

Having a Heyman led stable, featuring the Authors of Pain, and a main-event heel could be a great move, and would instantly establish the former NXT champions as the team to beat on Raw.

#3 Ronda Rousey

Back in April, before Lesnar signed his latest WWE contract, rumours were swirling that Ronda Rousey was in line to be the next superstar managed by Heyman.

Since then, Rousey has gone on to establish herself as one of the must-see acts in the company and has continued to surprise fans with her solid in-ring work.

That being said, while Rousey is perfectly fine on the microphone, she is nothing spectacular and the presence of Heyman could really help her sell a major feud.

With Rousey rumoured to be headlining next year's WrestleMania, having Heyman by her side would seriously help sell the bout and make Rousey seem like the biggest star in all of the WWE.

#4 Lars Sullivan

Attaching Heyman to a new superstar is a guaranteed way to get them noticed on their debut. While several superstars have not succeeded as 'Paul Heyman guys', the sheer fact that they have debuted with Heyman instantly gets fans' eyes on the superstar.

Lars Sullivan has done all there is to do now down in NXT, and with Lesnar likely leaving the WWE, the company will be in need of another big monster.

Sullivan is the perfect candidate to be the next Heyman guy- he's a strong and silent monster who has a unique look and plenty of talent in the ring.

Sullivan could arrive the night after SummerSlam and make his presence felt by taking out one of the brand's top stars. He could then instantly align himself with Heyman and make his presence felt on either Raw or SmackDown.

#5 Bobby Lashley

Lashley needs a character change
Lashley needs a character change

Oh, Lashley, how has it all gone so wrong? When Lashley returned the night after Mania, he impressed fans with his impressive physique and excellent ring presence, and it looked as though he was destined for great things in his second run with the WWE.

That was until Sami Zayn came along and the two men had the worst main roster feud of 2018.

Lashley's credibility has taken one hell of a kicking over the last few months, and while he somewhat redeemed himself with two great performances against Roman Reigns, the former TNA World Champion is already in desperate need of a character reboot.

Like Lesnar, talking has never been Lashley's strong-point, and a partnership with Paul Heyman could really help get him over as one of the baddest wrestlers on the planet.
