Hell in a Cell 2018: Predicting the results for every single match

Braun Strowman will cash in his Money in the Bank at Hell in a Cell

The WWE will be hosting its annual Hell in a Cell pay-per-view on September 16th and it is shaping up to be a pretty exciting card. Hell in a Cell has always been considered as the structure that serves as the culmination of heated rivalries. But this year it might just mark the beginning of a number feuds that will dominate WWE for the rest of the year.

A lot of high profile matches have already announced for the event. Let us predict how these matches will turn out at Hell in a Cell.

Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella vs The Miz & Maryse

The
The two real-life couples will team up at Hell in a Cell

Prediction: Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella win via pinfall.

The Miz and Maryse winning will make sense for this storyline in the long term. But it does not feel like that is the direction that the WWE is going in.

It is hard to imagine what Bryan will gain out a mixed tag team win over The Miz considering how heated their rivalry is. On the other hand, another loss to him will only add fuel to this angle.

But after Brie and Maryse's involvement in the storyline, you can be almost sure that the good guys are going to come out on top at Hell in a Cell. That is the generic booking that the WWE goes with whenever two couples are involved in a high profile match.

Ronda Rousey (C) vs Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women's Championship

R
Rousey will defend her newly won Raw Women's Championship

Prediction: Ronda Rousey wins via submission.

If there is one prediction in this list that you can take to the bank, it is this one. It is hard to imagine any other result considering how dominant Ronda looked over Bliss at Summerslam.

To be honest, it is hard to think of any woman on the roster who can take the championship off of Rousey at this point of time. The WWE is definitely going to give their 'Golden Girl' more than one month with the title.

We can even go one step further and be certain that Ronda Rousey will pull off the victory with her patented Armbar.

AJ Styles (C) vs Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship

Samoa Joe will be looking to win the WWE Championship

Prediction: AJ Styles win via pinfall.

Both these men have been involved in a deeply personal rivalry over the past few months. It seemed sceptical at first of WWE's decision to involve Styles' family in the storyline. That kind of a storyline rarely works in wrestling anymore.

But the two men have since proven me wrong and showed their ability to turn lemons into lemonade. Now going into Hell in a Cell, it is really difficult to pick a clear winner.

While Styles seems to be the guy handpicked to overtake Punk's record of 434 days as WWE Champion, Joe getting his first run as WWE Champion should not be out of the question either.

Still, it can be said that Styles will pull one over Joe as it feels he is someone the company has a lot of trust in and is being set up for a high profile match at Wrestlemania.

Roman Reigns (C) vs Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship

The Big Dog and The Monster Among Men will collide at Hell in a Cell.

Prediction: Roman Reigns wins via pinfall.

Braun Strowman confirmed this week on Raw that he will be cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at Hell in a Cell. This feels like both a waste of the Money in the Bank gimmick and WWE setting up Braun to lose.

It is arguable that Braun Strowman should have already been made the champion. He has been a fan favourite for a long time now and is one of the few big men in wrestling today who does not feel stale.

But it seems that the 'Monster Among Men' is going to be sacrificed at Hell in a Cell so that Reigns can have a long run as Champion. Reigns has been chasing the belt for a couple of years now and the WWE will surely not have him as the champion for a paltry month.

The Shield have been clearly brought back to get the fans on Reigns's side and with Braun Strowman's heel turn at Raw, it is looking like 'The Big Dog' will be walking out of Hell in a Cell with the Championship.
