Most of the classics that have we have witnessed occurred on Pay-Per-View.

#10 Kurt Angle vs Mr. Anderson (TNA Lockdown 2010)

This amazing cage match took place in TNA during the Bischoff-Hogan era

It is considered the best match of Anderson's career and features another amazing big match performance displayed by Kurt Angle.

We have a great story behind this match and it featured two great performers wanting to destroy each other, putting on an amazing spectacle for us to watch.

The cage match was absolutely brutal, emotional, and dramatic with important moments like Angle's insane moonsault off the top of the cage.

The crowd was good and were emotionally invested into the match, which makes the atmosphere for this bloody battle pretty special.

All in all, this was a true classic. It had some great spots, great storytelling from both men, and the finale was great too as the end of the feud, provided an awesome visual.

Angle choking out Anderson with the medal, spitting on him, and then delivering the most blatant low blow in history just to put the exclamation point on the rivalry.

That's how you blow off a feud folks!

#9 Chris Harris vs James Storm (TNA Sacrifice 2007)

Chris Harris and James Storm were former partners in a tag team known as America's Most Wanted

Coming off from a horrible blindfold match they had at Lockdown a month ago, TNA definitely redeemed themselves by putting on a brutal Texas Death match between James Storm and Chris Harris.

This was an absolutely brutal affair between former tag team partners that hated each other so much that they will sacrifice their own body to cause damage to the opponent.

This was a bloody and savage affair.

The match was one of the most intense matches in the company's history. Both Harris and Storm really worked the hell out of their bodies by performing some astonishing spots, blood was on their faces like crimson masks and most of all, they had a war where it got crowd emotionally involved into this match.

Fans should give big props to both of them for lashing out at each other because these hate-filled emotions make brutal matches between former partners more convincing and savage.

Overall, This was an incredibly intense and pretty brutal match that it thrived on a great feud that these two had a while back.

They had one of the most satisfying finishes to a match you'll ever witness, which could not have been more appropriate of the two and probably the best match that these two ever had in their singles career.

#8 Bobby Roode vs Austin Aries (TNA Destination X 2012)

This was Aries' first shot at the World Title

In 2012, Austin Aries was a guy that no wrestling company would ever be chosen as the top guy in the company but thanks to his hard work and the fans, TNA wrestling gave him an opportunity to showcase his talents.

Every time Aries came out to wrestle, he got the loudest ovation and similar to how WWE fans would chant for Daniel Bryan during other people’s matches they did the same during this time period for him

Aries was the longest reigning X-Division Champion heading into Destination X 2012 which is when “option c” came into play.

Aries cut a deal with Hulk Hogan where he would cash in his X-Division Championship for a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in a match with Bobby Roode, who was the longest reigning TNA World Heavyweight champion at that time, at Destination X.

This was Aries' first shot at the world title in TNA wrestling.

The result of all that was this as a great championship match with Roode and Aries putting on a classic.

Roode plays a good cowardly, arrogant yet intelligent heel in how he avoids the majority of Aries’ moves and manages to really work him over rather viciously.

Aries is very energetic and likable. He made many exciting comebacks and works well off of Roode’s heel antics, especially since he has a much more exciting offense involving high flying and submissions, and he also emotes a lot more so he is easier to connect with.

Watching Aries survive all of Roode’s dirty tactics was pretty cool, and the finish with the rather dangerous looking brain-buster and the slow three count from the injured referee really added a lot of tension to the moment, leading it to a well-deserved title victory for Aries.

#7 AJ Styles vs. Chris Sabin vs. Petey Williams (TNA Final Resolution 2005)

Styles' followed it up with many exciting matches in 2005

The best Ultimate X in TNA history and one of their best matches in company history. This match should be required viewing whenever taking a look back at what exactly made the X-Division what it used to be.

All three athletes were on the top of their game and putting on a hell of a performance on the first PPV of 2005 for TNA.

This is proof of how amazing the X Division was in its early years, all three athletes square off sacrificing themselves more than once to let the crowd go wild, putting on a show for all of us to be wowed by their amazing performances.

As a lot of X Division matches are, this one was fast-paced and explosive, showing amazing display for us to see.

Going into the match, Petey Williams was the longest reigning X Division Champion, Chris Sabin had quite the luck in these type of matches, as he won three in a row, and Styles never won an Ultimate X, but that all changed after the match was over.

This would be the start of the Phenomenal One's amazing year in TNA, putting in amazing performances in his matches later in the year.

Overall, this was not only the best Ultimate X match but an amazing match. With everything from the spots to the wrestling to the drama and the finish.

This was a classic and a must-see for fans who enjoy the X-Division tearing down the house every time they get in the ring, showcasing on what they can do.

#6 Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles (TNA Turning Point 2005)

<p>Samoa Joe and AJ Styles have been amazing matches in TNA</p><p>S
Joe and Styles put on a show for the fans

This was a fantastic match between two great wrestlers.

Styles started things off with a lot of great energy, making things exciting right away.

Joe's offense was quite frightening with stiff strikes and thumping power moves, and Joe carried himself like a total destroyer with his nature switching between ‘cold and calculating’ to that of an ‘aggressive warrior’.

The Phenomenal One sold Joe’s offence fantastically, emphasising the size difference and showing the long-term effects of Joe’s attacks.

Styles' endurance and comebacks were very impassioned due to his terrific ability to portray an underdog by using his tremendous facial expressions, posture and gestures.

Because of Joe’s size, Styles had to use his speed and in-ring intelligence to outsmart his opponent, getting him into weakened states in order to then hit more effective moves.

He also did well to showcase AJ’s offense when selling: stumbling around, becoming dazed, and slowly collapsing to show how significant it was that he was able to overcome Joe's size advantage.

Joe winning by submission and putting Styles to sleep was a nice surprise finish.

Overall, this was a beautiful wrestling match with a great mix of Styles' agility, speed, and underdog passion with Joe’s strength, size, and brutal aggression.

Both wrestlers continued to have an amazing series of matches with each other and this ranks one of the best matches in TNA history.

#5 Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe (TNA Turning Point 2006)

<p>This was Kurt Angle's 2nd big match on PPV</p><p>T
This was Kurt Angle's second big match on PPV

For 17 months, Joe was undefeated until he lost to Angle at TNA Genesis 2006. This was the rematch a month later and much anticipated. They delivered it big time.

This was a huge improvement on their first match at Genesis in every way.

The mat work, the reversals, the submissions, the sparingly used power moves, those vicious strikes, the continuity from their previous match, the subtly shifted dynamic between the two of them, the crowd, Everything about it was amazing.

This is what professional wrestling should be all about. Just amazing wrestling between two best wrestlers to step foot in the wrestling ring. This is the best match in the trilogy of matches between the Olympic Gold Medallist and the Samoan Submission Machine.

Definitely, a must watch!

#4 Kurt Angle vs AJ Styles (TNA Hard Justice 2008)

Angle and Styles have been feuding since Summer 2008
Angle and Styles had been feuding since Summer 2008

Over the years in TNA Wrestling, Angle and Styles had a series of great matches and this one is the best one of them all.

This was a last man standing match but it used Texas Death match rules which was odd but this was a strong and brutal affair where there wasn't any necessitates of bringing weapons into the match.

The storytelling was on point and the falls were dramatic. This came off where the two wrestlers really detested each other detested one another and it was a very good finale to their feud at this time.

Styles particularly really stood out with his performance in this match by really wanting to hurt the Olympic Gold Medallist.

Angle came off as toying with him at times, inflicting punishment when the opportunity struck.

Angle had a strong in-ring year for TNA in 2008, one of his best years for TNA in-ring of his entire run in the company and this match was among the strongest of those in addition to being one of TNA’s best matches overall for 2008.

Overall, this was an intense, action-packed and technically first-class match with some exciting moments between the two amazing athletes.

These two wrestling each other was simply golden, and never had a bad match every time they step foot in the ring, but this was their finest hour.

#3 Abyss vs AJ Styles (TNA Lockdown 2005)

This was the first Lockdown event for TNA Wrestling
This was the first Lockdown event for TNA Wrestling

Styles was amazing as always while Abyss looked like a legit monster and this happened to be the best match of his career.

This match was bloody, exciting and had an amazing storytelling.

Styles and Abyss went all out from the get-go and the action never slowed down.

Every spot they come up with had a huge chance of either being botched or not looking as impactful as it should, yet they all somehow manage to work beautifully.

The whole "David vs Goliath" thing is a classic archetypal duel, but these two not only played it to perfection, they innovated it as well.

Styles is called the Phenomenal One and he displayed why people call him so throughout this entire match-up.

Abyss played the monster heel to sickening perfection but by innovating that role himself with some great moves and tactics.

This was not just a total war but an amazing classic that is incredible to watch. It brought crazy actions of styles, a huge brutality, a lot of excitement and a brilliant finish.

#2 Triple X vs America's Most Wanted (TNA Turning Point 2004)

This was the final chapter of the two-year feud between Triple X (Christopher Daniels and Primetime Elix Skipper) and America's Most Wanted (Harris and Storm).

This was a bloody cage match with a important stipulation where the losers must disband forever, that means that one of two greatest teams of TNA had to split up.

For a cage match it had some wrestling in it but to me, it was more focused on storyline and spots but of course, it would because it was a match that is filled with grudge and hatred. It's bloody and intense and it also features the most memorable moment in TNA Wrestling.

Overall, this was an absolutely incredible match with great action and some spectacular high spots.

By the end of the match, your jaw will be dropped to the ground. It's really worth watching, possibly the greatest TNA tag team match of all time.

#1 Christopher Daniels vs AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe (TNA Unbreakable 2005)

The first time that a X-Division championship match main closed a PPV
The match was rated five stars by Meltzer

The only match to be rated five stars by Dave Meltzer.

This is hands down, the best match in TNA history, without any doubt.

Three young, top-notch athletes clashing with some of the most innovative, jaw-dropping and incredible moments ever.

They had great chemistry together and pull off a variety of interesting and unique sequences with perfect technique.

Styles brought his high flying, Joe, his raw power, and Daniels, his intelligence, which made for a very fun match as we see all these different wrestling styles go up against one another.

The interesting fact was this was first and only time that the X-Division championship match was defended in the main event of a PPV.

That showed how much importance of a match really was. No matter how many people have gone back and re-watched this match, it still has the power to amaze fans in awe to this day.
