Does Enzo have a future in Impact Wrestling?

What's the story?

All charges against former WWE superstar Enzo Amore were recently cleared. While he may no longer be associated with the company, could he build a career in Impact Wrestling down the line?

I was part of a conference call where the Executive Vice President of Impact Wrestling, Don Callis was asked if Enzo would be welcome in the Impact Zone. The answer was a very safe 'never say never'.

In case you didn't know...

Enzo Amore was under investigation for an alleged sexual assault incident, not very long ago. In light of the fact that he allegedly withheld details of the investigation from the company, WWE and Amore decided to go their separate ways. Amore was recently cleared of all charges, and you can find the details of the same here.

Don Callis is one of the masterminds behind the new regime of Impact Wrestling. Under his leadership, a series of positive changes have come about in the company.

The heart of the matter

When asked whether Amore would be welcome in the company, Callis had this to say:

Never say never. You evaluate talent based on need and what you’re looking to do. We have a long term plan for how we engage with talent in terms of who’s gonna be on the roster, what roster spots we need filled, etc. It’s not as much of a random thing. So, um, ya know … as with any other talent, I think time will tell.

It is natural to not commit to an answer until a deal is in place. Callis' answer, however, does prove that Impact Wrestling wouldn't be opposed to working with him.

What's next?

Enzo has maintained he wants to work in the entertainment industry. This may not necessarily be sports entertainment per se. Only time will tell what the future holds for the ex-WWE superstar.

Author's take

I wouldn't mind seeing Enzo Amore in Impact Wrestling. Imagine him in a war of words with Eli Drake!

Amore is money and Don Callis absolutely knows this!
