WWE News: Braun Strowman reenacts classic scene from "Elf"

Braun Strowman as Buddy The Elf

What's the story

This has got to be one of the best things ever if you love Braun Strowman and the classic Christmas film Elf.

As you probably know, Elf stars Will Ferrell as a human being raised as an elf in the North Pole after he accidentally climbed into Santa's bag of toys when he was a baby in an orphanage. Years later, Buddy the Elf's adoptive father Papa Elf told his son he wasn't an elf which started an adventure of Buddy seeking out his real father in New York City.

Now, if you've seen the movie and know it well, just imagine Braun Strowman as Buddy the Elf. If you'd like help in picturing how epic that might be, WWE has you covered.

In case you didn't know

Braun Strowman isn't always the Monster Among Men because, in reality, he's actually a pretty hilarious guy. He's just a good 'ol country boy and loves to have a good time. This is probably why this parody of Elf worked so well.

Heart of the matter

This video highlights one of the key moments from the Elf film where Peter Dinklage's character was brought in to help write a children's book. Buddy The Elf busted into the meeting and hilarity ensued when he mistook Dinklage for an elf and received quite a bit of fighting back for that mistaken observation.

The parody video captures that moment perfectly and it might even be better as Drew Gulak brilliant portrays Dinklage's character. But Braun Strowman is off the chain when it comes to letting it all hang out as the popular Christmas movie character and absolutely steals the show.

What's next

Now that Braun Strowman's acting talents have been unleashed, WWE will hopefully keep figuring out a way to utilise his amazing personality in other ways.

Author's take

This video made me mark out on so many levels. Not only is it nearly perfectly executed but fans finally get a real chance to see the comedian that lives underneath the ominous exterior of The Monster Among Men.
