What’s the story?

Following this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Kurt Angle announced that the first Superstar to join his team at Survivor Series was none other than Braun Strowman.

Following the announcement, Strowman sent a message to the Team SmackDown Live which was posted on WWE's Twitter account.

In case you didn’t know…

On this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon made her return to TV and stated that Kurt Angle was going to captain Raw's men's team at Survivor Series.

McMahon added that Angle would lose his job if he failed to secure a victory at Survivor Series. Braun Strowman made his return on the same episode of Raw.

The heart of the matter

In the clip, Strowman claimed that he was the only monster in the WWE and that he was going to destroy Shane McMahon's team at Survivor Series. The former Wyatt Family member also added that his "monstrous abilities" made him the obvious first pick for Kurt Angle's team.

What’s next?

Following recent events on Raw, the red brand of WWE will now look to focus on their Survivor Series match at the Toyota Center on November 19, 2017. However, in addition to his upcoming match with SmackDown Live, Braun Strowman has a few issues to settle with The Miz and Kane.

Author’s take

Personally, I am really happy that Kurt Angle chose Strowman as the first member of Team Raw; as this only goes on to prove what impact this man is capable of doing.

Strowman was also a part of Team Raw at last year’s Survivor Series and I’m totally looking forward to seeing him share the ring with the likes of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Bobby Roode.
