The Bullet Club finally united in WWE last week on Raw

What's the story?

This week on Monday Night Raw, Finn Balor, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson made their way to the ring to answer Jason Jordan's cocky attempt to state that the makeshift version of The Shield were the most dominant three-man group in all of WWE.

As the trio made their way to the ring it seems that the former Universal Champion finally revealed that the group that were known worldwide as The Bullet Club would be known under The Balor Club name in WWE.

In case you didn't know...

Finn Balor, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have worked together before, in fact Balor was the original leader of The Bullet Club alongside Gallows and Anderson in New Japan Pro Wrestling before he decided to leave the promotion and join WWE back in 2014.

Even though current WWE Champion AJ Styles has been the superstar mostly associated with Gallows and Anderson over the past few years, it has always been Finn that the WWE Universe has wanted to partner the former Raw Tag Team Champions.

Last week fans finally got their wish when Balor and The Club united for the first time in WWE to take on Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel and Elias in the main event of last week's Raw where they managed to pick up their first win as a team.

The heart of the matter

The Bullet Club is a term that WWE doesn't actually own and their WWE UK Twitter page even accidentally Tweeted out the name of the group from their New Japan days last week, since the group had failed to unveil their new name.

It seems that Finn thought that it was finally time to unveil the name of the new trio this week and stated that they are now called "The Balor Club." Finn will always be seen as the leader of the group alongside his best friend Karl Anderson and longtime teammate Luke Gallows.

What's next

Finn Balor and his new group are yet to announce that they will be part of the 31st annual Royal Rumble match in less than three weeks time, but with Gallows and Anderson behind him it seems that Finn could have become a dark horse to win the match and go on to face the Universal Champion at WrestleMania when he finally does announce his participation.

It is also hoped that sometime in the near future the WWE Universe will be able to see The Balor Club versus The Shield.

Authors take

Obviously WWE couldn't use The Bullet Club name that this trio originally found fame under, but they have also been marketing The Balor Club as a name for Finn since his time in NXT.

It seems that this was the best option for the group and it means that they are free to release as much merchandise as they like using the term now, without The Young Bucks filing their own Cease and Desist order.
