What's the story?

WWE superstar Shinsuke Nakamura has recently tweeted out regarding his feelings towards sharing the ring with Smackdown Live General Manager and former WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan, at this year's Clash of Champions pay-per-view.

In case you didn't know...

Both Shinsuke Nakamura and Daniel Bryan have a lot of history with each other, the two men used to live with each other and used to be roommates almost a decade ago. Bryan stated in an interview that both him and Nakamura had a great time living together and also became very close friends in the process.

Bryan was also asked in the past that if he had to face off against a superstar from the current WWE roster then who would it be, to which the SD Live GM replied that he would like to share the ring with Shinsuke Nakamura. "The Artist" then replied to Bryan by stating that somehow and someday the two men will indeed face-off against each other.

The heart of the matter

Following this week's Clash of Champions PPV, former NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura tweeted out showing his gratitude towards Daniel Bryan, as he finally got the chance to stand in the same ring with the former two-time WWE World Champion. Nakamura's tweet read: I do not remember how many years passed. Anyway, I surely stood in the same ring with @WWEDanielBryan last night.

Bryan would then go on and respond to Nakamura's statement by quoting "The Artist's" tweet and stating that he wished to share the moment under different circumstances, with his ring gear on-- revealing his want to have a match against "The King of Strong Style."

What's next?

Over the past few months, there have been many speculations regarding a potential in-ring return for Daniel Bryan, as many Pro Wrestling journalists have claimed that WWE is willing to clear Bryan for a possible return to the squared circle in the near future. On the other hand, some recent reports have also claimed that Shinsuke Nakamura might finally get a proper push in 2018 as he currently seems as the likely favorite to win the 2018 Royal Rumble match.

However, as of right now, Bryan continues to do his job as the SD Live GM, but, if Bryan does get cleared by the WWE medical team then we can expect him to be in action with the likes of Nakamura and other top superstars within the WWE.

Author's Take

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Daniel Bryan has always been a dream match of mine and personally, I would really love to see the two men compete against each other as soon as possible.
