एलिस्टेयर कुक के संन्यास के बाद ट्विटर पर क्रिकेट जगत की प्रतिक्रियाएं
इंग्लैंड के महानतम बल्लेबाजों में से एक एलिस्टेयर कुक ने 12 साल के शानदार करियर के बाद अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट को अलविदा कहा। भारत के खिलाफ ओवल में होने वाला पांचवां टेस्ट कुक के करियर का आखिरी मैच होगा। 33 वर्षीय कुक ने अपने टेस्ट करियर में अभी तक 160 टेस्ट मैचों में 32 शतक और 56 अर्धशतक की मदद से 12254 रन बनाये और इंग्लैंड के लिए उनसे ज्यादा मैच किसी ने नहीं खेले। साथ ही इंग्लैंड की तरफ से सबसे ज्यादा रन और सबसे ज्यादा शतक का रिकॉर्ड भी कुक के नाम ही दर्ज़ है।
160 टेस्ट के अलावा कुक ने इंग्लैंड के लिए 92 एकदिवसीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय में 5 शतक और 19 अर्धशतकों की मदद से 3204 और चार टी20 अंतरराष्ट्रीय में 61 रन बनाये।
