2017 आईपीएल की नीलामी में जिस बात की उम्मीद थी, अभी तक वैसा ही हुआ। इंग्लैंड के बेन स्टोक्स को लेकर अनुमान था कि वो काफी महंगे बिक सकते हैं और हुआ भी ऐसा ही। राइजिंग पुणे सुपरजायंट्स की टीम ने विश्व क्रिकेट के इस दिग्गज ऑलराउंडर को 14.5 करोड़ की बड़ी राशि में खरीदा और ऐसी उम्मीद है कि स्टोक्स अपने प्रदर्शन से इसे सही साबित करेंगे।
इसके अलावा एक और इंग्लैंड के खिलाड़ी हैं, जिन्हें नीलामी में रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर ने 12 करोड़ की बड़ी कीमत में खरीदा। तेज़ गेंदबाज टाईमल मिल्स को भी उम्मीद नहीं होगी कि उनके लिए इतनी बड़ी बोली लगेगी।
