क्रिकेट जगत की सबसे बेहतरीन और भारत की सबसे दिग्गज बल्लेबाजों में एक मिताली राज (Mithali Raj) ने आज अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट से संन्यास का ऐलान कर दिया। दिग्गज खिलाड़ी की संन्यास की चर्चा इस साल वनडे वर्ल्ड कप के बाद दौरान ही चल रही थीं लेकिन उस दौरान मिताली ने कुछ भी कहने से इंकार कर दिया था। हालाँकि आज उन्होंने सोशल मीडिया पर एक पोस्ट के माध्यम से अपने करियर पर विराम लगाने के फैसले की जानकारी दी। इस तरह उनके 23 साल के अंतरराष्ट्रीय करियर का अंत हो गया।

मिताली ने महज 16 साल की उम्र में डेब्यू किया था और उन्होंने 39 वर्ष की उम्र में संन्यास लिया। इस दिग्गज खिलाड़ी ने अपने करियर में 12 टेस्ट, 232 वनडे और 89 टी20 इंटरनेशनल खेले। इन तीनों ही फॉर्मेट को मिलाकर उन्होंने कुल 10868 रन बनाये। वहीँ वनडे में उनके नाम आठ विकेट भी दर्ज हैं। मिताली के संन्यास के बाद ट्विटर पर जोरदार प्रतिक्रियाएं आईं और उन्हीं में से कुछ को हम आपके लिए लेकर आये हैं।
