The Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the three-match T20I series and ODI series against England. According to the reports, he injured his finger during the T20I game against Ireland after he attempted to take a catch on his delivery in the last over.

Bumrah will be returning to the home, hoping that he would be fit for the five-match Test series against England that starts on August 1. He made his Test debut earlier in this year against South Africa.

The three-match T20I series between England and India will be played from July 3. After the completion of T20I series, India will face England in the three-match ODI series before playing five-match Test series against the same opponent.

BCCI will now have to announce the replacement for Jasprit Bumrah ahead of the T20I series against England which starts on July 3. There are three players who could possibly be the replacement of Jasprit Bumrah. Check out:

Siddarth Kaul, who was part of World Cup winning Under-19 Indian team, made his International debut against Ireland on June 29 at Dublin. He came to limelight when he troubled the opponents with the ball while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Even though he made his IPL debut in 2008, Kaul knocked the national team selectors' door after his brilliant performances in IPL 2017 and 2018. He has played 38 games in IPL and picked up 43 wickets at an economy rate of 8.37.

However, he earned a maiden national call-up against Ireland and made his debut in the second T20I. He impressed everyone with his bowling performance as he conceded just 4 runs in his 2 overs and picked a wicket. Kaul, who can bowl fast deliveries and knuckle-balls, could be the possible replacement for Jasprit Bumrah for T20I and ODI series against England.

#2 Shardul Thakur

Another bowler who could be the possible replacement for Bumrah is Mumbai pacer, Shardul Thakur. After his stellar performance in the Ranji Trophy 2014-15, he was bought by Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2015. However, he has played an only game against Delhi Daredevils.

The IPL 10 saw aggressive bowling by Shardul Thakur who picked up a total of 11 wickets in 12 games that he played. His memorable performance was when he picked up 3 wickets at his home ground in the Qualifier 1 of IPL 2017.

After a great season in IPl 2017, he earned a maiden national call-up and made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in August 2017. Thakur, who was a part of Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2018, has picked up 16 wickets in 13 games and helped his team to lift the trophy.

He is now a part of India A that is currently touring England. Shardul Thakur learned to bowl slow deliveries, knuckle-balls and could be the good death over bowler along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the England tour.

Deepak Chahar has a bright chance to make his International debut in the England tour. Chahar, who was the part of Rising Pune Supergiant in IPL 2016 and 2017, stunned everyone with his outswing in the last edition of Indian Premier League.

The former Indian skipper MS Dhoni used to handle the new balls to Deepak Chahar in IPL and he never failed to trouble the batsmen with his pace and outswing. Chahar has played 17 games and taken 11 wickets at a decent economy of 7.83.

He is currently the part of the junior Indian team that is touring England. In the tour of England with India A, Chahar has grabbed 13 wickets in just 5 List A games, including the best figure of 5 for 27 against West Indies A. He may trouble the England players in English condition with his pace and swing.
