IPL has been the centre stage for past few years for the young players to perform and make themselves a contender for the Indian National team. Performances in Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, Irani Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy can help players earn a spot in National team or India A team where they will be mentored by Rahul Dravid and prepare themselves for International Cricket.

In past few months, there have been many players who have made their debut in International cricket on the back of strong performances in Domestic Cricket and IPL like Hanuma Vihari, Deepak Chahar, Siddarth Kaul, and Khaleel Ahmed.

Even Rishabh Pant made his test debut a few weeks ago due to his recent strong performance in IPL and Domestic cricket. On the other hand, there are many other players who have performed equally well but are waiting for their chance like Krunal Pandya, Mayank Agrawal and many more of them. Here are the 5 of those players who are performing well in Domestic Cricket and are still waiting for their chance to make their International Debut:

#1.Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya is the elder brother of Indian Team All Rounder Hardik Pandya. He himself is an all-rounder who is a left-handed batsman and a left-arm spin bowler. Similar to his younger brother, Krunal impressed everyone in IPL and also performed consistently in Domestic tournaments and got selected in INDIA A team.

After performing well for all the teams with whom he has played, he is currently in the radar of Indian selectors. Though he has been selected in the squad a few times, most recently in the tour of England he has not made his International debut yet.

He has shown good technique and temperament in batting and can even bowl his full quota of left-arm spin. He can prove to be a great asset to the Indian team and we can see him soon making his International Debut.

#2. Rajneesh Gurbani

Rajneesh is one of the emerging fast bowlers from India. Rajneesh, who plays for Vidarbha in Ranji Trophy has impressed everyone by his performance in Ranji Trophy's last season and was one of the leaders of Vidarbha's bowling attack and helped the team clinch the trophy.

He was Man of the Match in Quarterfinals, semi-finals and Final as well. He took 5 wicket haul in at least one of the innings in each knockout match and even took 12 wickets in the Semi Final.

He also took a five-wicket haul in Irani Trophy vs ROI His impressive performance in Domestic cricket earned him a spot in India A squad for the tour of England and then the AUS A and RSA A tour of INDIA. He performed consistently well in these tours and now is in the radar of Indian selectors and we might soon see him in International Cricket.

#3. Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal is in the form of his life. He has been consistent in last season's Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, and Domestic T20 tournament. Although he did not perform well in the IPL for Kings XI Punjab, he continued his form for the India A team and has scored tons of runs.

Selectors have faced heavy criticism for not selecting him in the Indian squad despite his consistent and impressive performances and also selecting Prithvi Shaw over him as an opener for Last two tests in England. However, selectors have clearly stated that he is on the fringes of getting selected in the Indian team and we will soon see him donning the Indian Jersey.

#4. Prithvi Shaw

Prithvi Shaw, still 18, is another batsman from Mumbai who has been in the limelight since his childhood. He scored 546 runs in a Harris-Shield match at the age of just fourteen and from then he is being compared to the 'God Of Cricket'.

He was fast-tracked into Mumbai team and he impressed everyone by his fearless approach and scored centuries at his debut in both Ranji trophy and Duleep Trophy. He was the captain of India U-19 team which won the Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand earlier this year.

He continued his fearless approach in the World Cup and performed decently. He was bought by Delhi Daredevils for IPL 2018 and impressed everyone in the limited opportunities he got there. He was selected in India A team for England tour and performed consistently especially in limited overs format and continued his good form in further matches in List-A cricket.

He was surprisingly selected as an opener in the Indian Test squad for last two tests in England but did not feature in the Playing XI. He has been regarded as the next big thing in Indian Cricket after Virat Kohli and will soon make his International Debut most probably in the upcoming WI tour of India.

#5. Krishnappa Gowtham

K Gowtham is another spin bowling all-rounder who hails from Karnataka. He is a right-handed batsman and right arm off-break bowler. He came into limelight from his notable performances in Karnataka Premier League and soon he became an integral part of the Karnataka team.

He was then fast-tracked into India A team for Australia tour of India in 2017 and performed exceedingly well which helped him earn an IPL contract of whooping 2 Crore with Mumbai Indians. Unluckily he did not make into the playing XI due to MI's strong bench strength and was also not considered for A team due to disciplinary issues.

But he continued to perform well in Karnataka Premier League and in Ranji Trophy and this earned him a contract with Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2018. He performed well in all the three departments for RR and even played explosive knocks lower down the order and won matches for his team.

This performance earned him a place in India A squad again and he has performed well in recent series for India A. Another impressive season might give him a place in Indian Squad quickly.
