कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स टीम (KKR) को भले ही अपने आखिरी लीग मैच में लखनऊ सुपर जायंट्स (LSG) के खिलाफ हार का सामना करना पड़ा लेकिन इस मैच में रिंकू सिंह (Rinku Singh) ने जिस तरह की बैटिंग की उसकी काफी तारीफ हो रही है। रिंकू सिंह ने अकेले दम पर केकेआर की तरफ से मोर्चा संभाला और आखिरी तक लड़ते रहे लेकिन महज एक रन से वो चूक गए और टीम को जीत नहीं दिला पाए।

पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए लखनऊ सुपर जायंट्स की टीम ने निर्धारित 20 ओवरों में 8 विकेट के नुकसान पर 176 रन बनाए और जवाब में केकेआर की टीम 175 रन ही बना पाई। केकेआर की तरफ से रिंकू सिंह आखिर तक टिके रहे। आखिरी दो ओवरों में केकेआर को जीत के लिए 41 और आखिरी तीन गेंद पर 18 रन चाहिए थे। हालांकि रिंकू सिंह इन तीन गेंदों पर दो छक्का और एक चौका ही लगा पाए और लखनऊ ने सिर्फ एक रन से ये मुकाबला अपने नाम किया। रिंकू सिंह 33 गेंद पर 67 रन बनाकर नाबाद रहे।
