Punjab Kings (PBKS) face Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 37 of IPL 2024 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Sunday, April 21. The PBKS vs GT clash will be the second match of the double-header.

Both Punjab Kings and Gujarat Kings have been disappointing in the first half of IPL 2024 and will be keen to start afresh. PBKS have won only two of the seven matches, while GT have done slightly better, winning three of their seven games. When the two sides clashed in the first half, Punjab registered a three-wicket win, but they have lost three straight matches since then.

Gujarat Titans have suffered defeats in three of their last four matches. In their previous game against Delhi Capitals in Ahmedabad, they crumbled to 89 all-out. DC chased down the modest target with ease.

Punjab Kings have won the toss and opted to bat first. Captain Sam Curran said:

“We will try to put some runs on the board. This is the third time this pitch is being used. Excited to put some pressure on Gujarat bowlers first up and put a good score on the board.”

PBKS are still without Shikhar Dhawan. For GT, meanwhile, Azmatullah Omarzai comes back for Spencer Johnson.

Simon Katich said that there are bare patches at both ends, so it might be a little bit drier.
