Monu Goyat was the costliest player in the VIVO PKL 6 auction

The VIVO Pro Kabaddi League auctions saw a total of 181 players getting divided into a total of 12 teams.

The first, as well as the second day of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi auctions, saw a lot of players going under the hammer. It was full of various ups and downs, as there were many unforeseen moments we witnessed during the auctions.

Monu Goyat became the costliest player in the auctions as he bagged a whopping ₹151 lakhs. He will be seen playing for Haryana's franchise in the upcoming season. Monu was in great demand during the auctions.

Players like Rahul Chaudhari, Deepak Hooda, Rishank Devadiga and Nitin Tomar, were also a part of the 100 lakhs party. Fazel Atrachali became the costliest foreign player as he bagged a massive ₹100 lakhs as he was bought by U Mumba.

Rahul Chaudhari was bought for a hefty ₹129 lakhs, as the Titans used their FBM card to bring him back in the team.

Both Deepak Hooda and Nitin Tomar were picked up at a bumper cost of ₹115 lakhs, where the former went to Junior Bachchan's Jaipur, and the latter went to the Pune's franchise.

It was also a shocker as preeminent and big players like Anup Kumar and Manjeet Chillar were sold at unexpectedly low prices. The former was bought by Junior Bachchan's Jaipur for just ₹30 lakhs and the latter was sold to Tamil's franchise for ₹20 lakhs.

We also saw the duo of Surender Nada and Mohit Chillar break apart for the first time in Pro Kabaddi's history. Nada went ahead to become a part of his old team Haryana, whereas Mohit was bought by Jaipur Pink Panthers.

It was amazing to see that #VivoProKabaddiAuctions was trending everywhere. Fans on social media constantly showed their excitement and leviathan support during the auctions. It is indisputably hard to wait for the biggest league in India, which will take place in October this year.

The big players were in demand by many teams. The teams made a generous use of their FBM cards. Presenting to you here are the top 5 teams which look well built:

#1 Tamil Thalaivas

It looked like the team management of Tamil Thalaivas focused on bringing big names into their team.

Thalaivas retained Ajay Thakur, C. Arun and Amit Hooda which was a really smart move made by the team. After the auctions ended, their team looked like a dream team.

Big and experienced names like one-man army Manjeet Chillar, the smiling assassin Jasvir Singh, and Sukesh Hegde will be seen donning on Tamil's t-shirt.

Surjeet Narwal will also be playing as a part of the team. The former Steelers' player played in Patna Pirates in season 4 and contributed to the team's win.

It will be really interesting to see Master Blaster's team doing wonders in the coming season as Manjeet, Ajay and Jasvir have already played together in team India and have a great bonding with each other.

The team also consists of wonderful defenders in the form of Amit Hooda and C. Arun. The management and the new coach Edachery Bhaskaran also took a great care while buying their young players. On paper, Tamil Thalaivas looks like a nightmare for the other teams.

#2 Haryana Steelers

Haryana's franchise bought Monu Goyat, who became the costliest player of the league who was bought for ₹151 lakhs. They also got back the best defender of last season, Surender Nada to the team. The 'WAZIR' of kabaddi, Wazir Singh is also bought by them.

If we look, the whole team seems completely balanced with 4 all-rounders, 5 defenders, and 7 raiders. They used their FBM card to bring back Vikash Khandola to the team. Vikash played exceptionally well last season.

Talking about the silent assassin Monu Goyat, he played like a star in Patna Pirates. Scoring a massive 202 points last season, is not an easy feat to achieve. We saw him supporting Pardeep Narwal last season but this time we can expect him as the leader of the Steelers.

Overall, the team looks really amazing but we will see as soon as the season commences. This time, Haryana will play as a big barrier, standing with its eyes fixed on the Trophy.

#3 Jaipur Pink Panthers

Everybody was really impressed with Junior Bachchan's buying skills as he focused on bringing really well players into the team.

Deepak Niwas Hooda, the wonderful all-rounder will now be playing as a part of Pro Kabaddi League's inaugural Champion team in the sixth season.

Jaipur bought a plethora of wonderful players for the team. Players like Captain Cool Anup Kumar, Mohit Chillar, Bajirao Hodage and Sandeep Dhull will also play for Jaipur's franchise in the coming season.

It will be really different to see Anup Kumar playing in a team other than U Mumba. The team management wisely chose the other young players for the team and hopefully, with such an amazing team, Jaipur is a great contender for the trophy for the second time.

#4 U Mumba

Ronnie Screwvala definitely bought a really strong team for season 6. Iranian Fazel Atrachali will be seen donning the orange-black t-shirt of U Mumba, this time along with Abolfazl Maghsodlou and Hadi Tajik.

Atrachali and Abol have already played as a part of U Mumba in season 3 and hence have a really good bonding, given that they both belong from Iran.

The coach of U Mumba is also from Iran and hence it will be really interesting to see them play under him.

U Mumba did not retain any player but, did get back the aggressive Surinder Singh. They have also got the mask-man Rohit Rana along with the really experienced Dharmaraj Cheralathan.

Altogether, the team management has bought a really well team, but it is still unsure if not retaining Anup Kumar will affect the team or not.

#5 Bengal Warriors

Bengal's full players' list

Bengal Warriors decided to play safe during the auctions. They bought a lot of their former players like Mahesh Goud, Ran Singh, Jang Kun Lee, who have proved themselves in the previous seasons.

Their decision to retain Maninder Singh and Surjeet Narwal was really good, as they showed their best game in the last season. We expect a lot from them in the approaching season as well.

The team management was successful in buying a really good team, but nothing can be predicted before the season starts.

Bengal's franchise showed confidence in their old players and brought them back into the team. The team will give a tough competition to the other teams.

The sixth edition of VIVO PKL will start on 19th October after the Asian Games, which will be played in August. Till then, Le Panga!!!
