FULL TIME: Puneri Paltan 39-44 Haryana Steelers

What a game of kabaddi it was. There's a reason why we all love it. It was a rollercoaster of a ride for both the teams as well as the fans. No team looked settled at any point of the game. 

It was Puneri Paltan who got off to a flying start owing to a Super Raid from Aslam. But Haryana didn't back out as Vinay unleashed his inner beast with a Super-duper jump escape that got him not just one or two but five points in a single raid. 

It was a much-needed one for the Steelers as it brought them back in the game. The match looked evenly contested post that with both teams taking points at regular intervals. However, Pune got the momentum just minutes before the end of first half as they inflicted an all-out over the Steelers. 

The second-half was no different. Pune once again started well but it was Haryana who accelerated in the dying moments to win the game right from the neck of Pune. It was a complete team performance. Vinay starred with 15 points to his name whereas Rahul Sethpal got six tackle points including two Super Tackles. 

For Pune, there were many unwanted mistakes that saw them lose their first game of the season. Overall, it was an edge of the seat thriller that saw Haryana come out on top.

Vinay extends the lead for Haryana with a bonus and a touch point over the left corner. 

Ashish follows it up with a thigh hold over Akash Shinde. 

Vinay keeps things slow for Haryana and gets the clock ticking. 

Mohit Goyat gets a much-needed two-point raid but is not sufficient as Vinay runs down the timer in the following raid to see Haryana get over the line. An unwanted attempt from Shadlou and Pune lose their first match of their home leg.

39' Puneri Paltan 37-40 Haryana Steelers

Jaideep Dahiya replies with another dash to send Akash Shinde back. But Pune has reviewed the decision. But review remains unsuccessful. 

And Vinay gets the all-out over Pune at a much-needed time. 

Rahul Sethpal continues the momentum with a brilliant ankle hold over Aslam Inamdar at the right corner. 

38' Puneri Paltan 37-35 Haryana Steelers

Akash Shinde follows with a point over Rahul Sethpal's attempted anke hold at right corner. 

Vinay responds with an escape from Shadlou who tried to dash him out from left corner. 

37' Puneri Paltan 35-33 Haryana Steelers

SUPERRRR TACKLE! A two-men tackle from Puneri Paltan to escape a near all-out. The raider was inches close to the mid-line. 

35' Puneri Paltan 32-33 Haryana Steelers

Aslam attempts for a bonus under right corner but the defenders gets the best of him with an ankle hold.

Vinay goes in and gets a point over the left corner. Pune are left with just two players. 

Pankaj Mohite responds with a much-needed point over Mohit Nandal.

32' Puneri Paltan 31-30 Haryana Steelers

Vinay comes in after the timeout and gets his Super 10 with a bonus under the left in. 

Jaideep follows it up with a dash over Akash Shinde. 

Shivam bridges the gap for Haryana with an escape from Shadlou's block.

31' Puneri Paltan 31-27 Haryana Steelers

Mohit Goyat once again is unsuccessful in the do-or-die raid. This time it's Mohit Nandal who dashes him out from the right cover region.

And with this, we have our STRATEGIC TIMEOUT!

Haryana reply with a tackle over Mohit Gouat in do-or-die raid. It was Jaideep's ankle hold that stopped Mohit. 

Haryana also get back in the game with a bonus and tackle over Akash Shinde. 

Shadlou responds with a double thigh hold over the Haryana raider to extend Pune's lead. 

26' Puneri Paltan 29-23 Haryana Steelers

Aslam continues to play on bonuses and gets two in a row. 

Shadlou also gets the best of the raider with an advance block. Good support from the other teammates as well. 

Pune continue their dominance as Vinay is also dashed out by Akash Shinde. 

24' Puneri Paltan 26-23 Haryana Steelers

Vinay also comes in for a do-or-die and gets the best of Sanket Sawat.

Desai goes back to the hut immediately courtesy of a block from the right cover. 
 
Both teams are taking it slow now with empty raids. 

Akash Shinde comes in for do-or-die raid and is tackled by the duo of Jaideep and Rahul.

HALF-TIME: Puneri Paltan 24-21 Haryana Steelers

A nail-biting first half between the home side Puneri Paltan and Haryana Steelers. The Paltan started positively but a five-point raid from Vinay brought Haryana right back into the game. And in no time they inflicted an all-out to take a lead. 

But the hosts are not someone to back down from a fight. They fought back and both teams consistently took points. But as the game was nearing the end of first half, Pune pressed the accelerator to inflict an all-out and get a lead going into the final 20 minutes. 

The match is still evenly poised and it can be anyone's game from here. Hold on to your seats and we'll be back with the second half.

20' Puneri Paltan 24-21 Haryana Steelers

A back kick by Aslam over the right-in defender and gets another point before the half time. 

19' Puneri Paltan 23-21 Haryana Steelers

Siddharth Desai follows with an empty raid.

Another SUPER TACKLE! This time its Aslam who suffers. Sends a defender out but the Haryana corner holds his ankle to get two points. 

Good presence of mind from Mohammadreza Chiyaneh as he pursuits and gets a point over Desai.

And with this Haryana suffer an all-out. A much-needed comeback for the Paltan. 

Akash Shinde follows it up with a toe-touch over the left-corner.

Haryana reply with two consecutive points in raid and defense. 

14' Puneri Paltan 15-16 Haryana Steelers

Aslam comes in for the Do-or-die raid and gets a point. A dash from the left corner but Aslam escapes successfully.

Do-or-die raid for Haryana as well but Ashish goes out packing. A dash from the left cover and Pune get a point.

SUPER TACKLE!! Mohit goes in for Pune and at the same time, the defender goes out of bounds. But Haryana held their ground as Mohit Nandal along with Rahul inflict a two-men tackle. A review from Haryana though claiming the defender is safe but its two points for Steelers and a point for Pune. 

12' Puneri Paltan 12-14 Haryana Steelers

Inamdar comes in after the timeout but begins with an empty raid.

Ashish attempts for a bonus but doesn't get one. 

Another empty raid from Aslam. 

10' Puneri Paltan 11-13 Haryana Steelers

Akash Shinde joins the party for the Paltan and immediately gets a touch on Desai. 

Haryana continues to deal in empty raids. 

Aslam rushes in and in the process, the defender loses his balance and goes out giving Paltan a freebie. 

8' Puneri Paltan 10-13 Haryana Steelers

Siddharth Desai comes in for Haryana but is sent away by a dash from the left-cover.

Mohit Goyat follows it with a point over the left-corner defender. 

6' Puneri Paltan 8-11 Haryana Steelers

And in no time Haryana have inflicted an all-out. What a remarkable comeback. 

Aslam Inamdar continues and gets a point with a running hand touch. 

4' Puneri Paltan 7-7 Haryana Steelers

Mohit Goyat and Aslam Inamdar continue taking points for the Paltan and extend their lead.

And Haryana comeback with a five-point raid from Vinay. The Paltan defenders tried to block him but he jumped his way out for a SUPER RAID!

SUPER RAID! A multi-point raid to begin with for Aslam. He gets three points in the first raid, including a touch point.

Vinay gets back with a point over Abinesh.

Mohit Goyat responds with a brilliant running-hand touch over the right corner.

And Siddharth Desai is dashed out but he takes another defender with him. One point each for both teams!

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10.  The home side Puneri Paltan will head on against Haryana Steelers at Balewadi Stadium. 

The runners-up of the previous edition Puneri Paltan have got off to a flying start in PKL 10. They took their revenge over the Panthers in their opening game of the season with a hard-fought 37-33 win. It was followed by a comfortable 43-32 victory over U Mumba in the Maharashtra Derby. The Paltan will now aim to continue their winning momentum in front of their home crowd.

Meanwhile, the Haryana Steelers got off to the worst possible start to their PKL 10 journey. They suffered a heavy 57-27 defeat against UP Yoddhas. However, they made a strong comeback in the next two games winning 38-32 against Bengaluru Bulls and 35-33 against Dabang Delhi KC. 

Both teams are having great momentum coming into this game. We can expect a thriller of a contest to conclude the first day of Pune-leg.
