आईपीएल 2020 में राजस्थान रॉयल्स को इस सीजन पहली बार हार का सामना करना पड़ा। दुबई में खेले गए मुकाबले में कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स ने उन्हें 37 रन से हरा दिया। पहले खेलते हुए कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स ने 6 विकेट पर 174 रन बनाए, जवाब में राजस्थान रॉयल्स की टीम 137 रन ही बना पाई।

केकेआर के लिए इस मैच में शुभमन गिल ने 34 गेंद पर 47 रनों की पारी खेली और इयोन मोर्गन ने भी 23 गेंद पर नाबाद 34 रन बनाए। राजस्थान रॉयल्स की टीम जवाब में बिल्कुल भी मुकाबले में नहीं दिखी। टॉम करन (54*) को छोड़कर कोई भी बल्लेबाज बड़ी पारी नहीं खेल पाया।

केकेआर के गेंदबाजों ने खासकर जबरदस्त प्रदर्शन किया। शिवम मावी, कमलेश नागरकोटी और वरुण चक्रवर्ती ने 2-2 विकेट चटकाए। कमलेश नागरकोटी ने इसके अलावा जबरदस्त फील्डिंग भी की और 2 बेहतरीन कैच पकड़े।
