दुर्भाग्यवश रोमन रेंस के WWE मेन रोस्टर डेब्यू के समय तक जॉन सीना एक पार्ट-टाइम सुपरस्टार बन चुके थे। सीना को फिल्मी करियर में बहुत सफलता मिलने लगी थी, इसलिए मूवी प्रोजेक्ट्स में व्यस्त रहने के कारण उनका फुल-टाइम रेसलिंग करना संभव नहीं था।

रोमन रेंस और जॉन सीना WWE में कई बार आमने-सामने आए, लेकिन Wrestlemania के लिए इनकी स्टोरीलाइन कभी शुरू ही नहीं की गई। दोनों अपने-अपने दौर के WWE में सबसे बड़े सुपरस्टार्स में से एक रहे, इसलिए फैंस भविष्य में इस मैच को जरूर होते देखना चाहेंगे।
