We now come to the conclusion of our coverage of the 2023 Abu Dhabi T10 for the day. Kieron Pollard, New York Strikers captain: It's difficult for guys coming from different parts of the world to come together straight away and then get into a tournament. Good run out for us, some of the guys got a good feel and understanding. T10, different format, new players and coaches, you have to get across to that. 2 good overs back-to-back brings you right back in the match. From Chamika, Akeal that was what brought us back in the match. Everyone is here because they have a skill that they can perform, the management put them in a position where they can, just give them the confidence to go out and express themselves. Won one, lost one - put together a couple of wins and let's see how it goes. Can only put up an honest day's work and see what we can do.

Chamika Karunaratne (Player of the Match) : I think the second wicket is special. I was practicing a lot and working hard. It pays off. I am always looking to make a difference. They were attacking us in the first few overs and then we came back really well

The Bangla Tigers were just about in the game in the initial stages, but having not been able to pick up wickets early on, it was a matter of time before the Strikers batters went on the charge and took the game away. That was exactly what transpired - Muhammad Waseem and Kusal Perera, having seen off their first few deliveries, took on the Tigers bowlers, and soon enough, the game was theirs!

The Tigers were in with a bit of hope once Benny Howell took a steepler to dismiss Gurbaz off Sams. Waseem and Perera took their time to settle in - they looked to get a boundary each over, and were in need of just one big over to turn the tide for good. That came along in the 4th over, when Sams sprayed one over waist height, and proceeded to concede 10 off the first delivery itself.

Waseem and Perera were on a rampage, and Perera kept it going after the departure of the former. The game was done and dusted within under a couple of overs as Perera brought up a 20-ball half century. Presentations to follow...
