It's an unpopular opinion amongst wrestling fans, but there is a reason why wrestlers make fantastic actors and that's because they are already highly trained in the acting department so that they can perform on WWE TV.

Many stars have proved that the step from wrestling to acting isn't a huge one over the years including The Rock, John Cena, Batista, and even Edge, but whilst these stars have become big names on the big screen there are a few others who have also been able to dip their toes in the acting pool without becoming household names.

Wrestlers may be globally recognizable athletes, but not ever star is able to take that step into the spotlight, which is why there are a few wrestling cameos that have been able to skate under the radar.

#5 Candice Michelle - Dodgeball - A True Underdog Story

Candice Michelle is a former Women's Champion who only retired from the wrestling business last year, after being away from WWE for more than seven years. Michelle was best known for her Playboy cover and "Go Daddy" advert, which could be why she was chosen to be one of the dancers in 2004's Dodgeball- A True Underdog Story.

Candice is seen in the film numerous times as one of the dancers ahead of the dodgeball games, but many fans are completely unaware that the former WWE star was part of the movie even though she was credited for her part as a dancer, but it wasn't something that WWE promoted.

#4 Seth Rollins - Sharknado

Seth Rollins recently appeared alongside Wesley Snipes in Armed Response, but before he was cast in that role, he followed in the footsteps of a number of other wrestlers, when he appeared in the Sharknado franchise.

Rollins appeared as a scientist called Lopez (which is his real last name) and stated that he was going to "superkick that storm back to the dark ages" in order to protect Mount Rushmore, which obviously he was unable to do.

Rollins cameo lasts for less than a minute, but it was a fantastic way for The Architect to dip his toes into the acting pond for the first time.

The Big Show has been part of a number of movies over the past few years, but he is still most recognizable for his wrestling talents. Show has appeared in movies including Jingle All The Way, Vendetta and Knucklehead, but many of the WWE Universe were shocked back in 1998 when he appeared alongside Adam Sandler in The Waterboy.

Show was able to portray a wrestler called Captain Insano as part of the movie and even cut a promo before he went on to bully Sandler when he asked if he could become his Waterboy. Once again, this was a quick minute cameo from The Big Show and one that has seemingly gone overlooked compared to his other acting jobs.

Nathan Jones was only in WWE for around a year, but he left quite the impression since he was one of the biggest stars that WWE had ever recruited, physically. After he left WWE, Jones went on to star alongside Orlando Bloom, Sean Bean and Brad Pitt in 2004's Troy.

Troy went on to be one of the biggest films of the year and Jones scene was the opening of the movie where his character Boagrius is killed by Brad Pitt's Achilles. Jones hasn't opted to continue his acting career, but this would have been a fantastic starting point if he ever decided to pursue a career as a gladiator.

WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett has proved many times over that he is able to reinvent himself and always come out on top, but one thing that many fans never thought they would see was Jarrett in a teen film as a youth pastor.

Jarrett appeared in 2012 film Spring Breakers alongside Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Selena Gomez. The former TNA star tries to talk the youth of the film into loving Jesus throughout his cameo, which lasts no longer than 40 seconds, it's safe to say that he is wildly unsuccessful in being able to convert any of the main stars.
