Predicting Matches Added to Hell in a Cell Match Card

Hell in a Cell will take place on September 16, 2018. Hell in a Cell will take place inside the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. There are currently 2 matches inside Hell in a Cell on the card with an additional match likely to be changed from a one on one match to a Hell in a Cell match.

Because there are 6 matches announced, we can expect 4 matches to be added to the main card and 2 matches to be added to the kickoff show. Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella vs The Miz & Maryse in mixed tag team action, AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship, Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship inside Hell in a Cell, Ronda Rousey vs Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women's Championship, Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton inside Hell in a Cell, and Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women's Championship are already announced for the card.

Kickoff Show: Andrade 'Cien' Almas w./Zelina Vega vs R-Truth w./Carmella

Andrade 'Cien' Almas & Zelina Vega came to the It Couple's rescue on SmackDown Live.

Andrade 'Cien' Almas & Zelina Vega probably angered Carmella when they stopped Maryse (who Carmella wanted to see get hit) from being attacked by Brie Bella last week on SmackDown Live. R-Truth will probably want to get revenge for Carmella and will challenge Andrade 'Cien' Almas to a match at Hell in a Cell.

This would be good as Andrade 'Cien' Almas can have another match on pay per view and can win another PPV match. This match can also promote the returning Mixed Match Challenge (which returns the Tuesday after Hell in a Cell).

Kickoff Show US Title Match: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs Tye Dillinger

Tye Dillinger has faced Shinsuke Nakamura in the past.

WWE has not done a good job in finding Shinsuke Nakamura a US Title challenger. Hopefully, Paige will make Shinsuke Nakamura defend his title against Tye Dillinger at Hell in a Cell. Tye Dillinger deserves to be more than R-Truth's babysitter and should be one of the top faces on SmackDown Live given the lack of faces on the brand.

This can be a great match that will allow Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat Tye Dillinger while also giving Tye Dillinger some much-needed momentum.

Raw Tag Team Titles: Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler vs The Shield

This would certainly be a show-stealing tag team match.

Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre have recently won the Raw Tag Team Titles. However, it is unlikely that they will have a long reign as they will soon be challenged by former Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose. This is the only logical Raw Tag Team Title match at Hell in a Cell as these 2 teams have been at each other's throats for months. The Shield can win the Raw Tag Team Titles and return to the Raw Tag Team division.

WWE can finally recreate the moment where all members of the Shield have titles and they will not hesitate to do that.

SD Tag Team Titles: New Day (c) vs Rusev Day

These 2 teams are tied at one win apiece.

Rusev Day is scheduled to face the Bar next week on SmackDown Live and the winners will face the New Day for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships at Hell in a Cell. The New Day vs The Bar for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships has already been announced for the Super Showdown so it is likely that Rusev Day will get the opportunity at Hell in a Cell instead of The Bar.

Becoming #1 Contenders will continue the Cinderella run that Rusev Day has been going through. Although Rusev Day will probably lose, they can have a great match that will give them some momentum in the future. This can also lead to Aiden English turning heel against Rusev in the near future (he can blame Rusev for their loss).

Finn Balor vs Baron Corbin

The WWE Universe is certainly getting tired of this feud.

Finn Balor & Baron Corbin have been feuding since June. Both wrestlers are tied at 3 victories apiece (one of Baron Corbin's wins came in tag team action.) Although it would be nice to see Finn Balor feud with a more exciting opponent like Drew McIntyre, at least this rivalry will finally be over after Hell in a Cell.

The only way this rivalry can end is with Finn Balor decisively beating Baron Corbin (as the man, not the demon). Finn Balor can then finally have some momentum and move on to the Super Showdown and Survivor Series.

Bobby Lashley vs Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens recently made his return to Monday Night Raw.

Kevin Owens believes that he would be Mr. Money in the Bank if Bobby Lashley hadn't injured his best friend Sami Zayn (Bobby Lashley didn't actually injure him). Therefore one week after saying that he quit, Kevin Owens made his return to Monday Night Raw and laid out Bobby Lashley with an apron powerbomb. Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley are both major stars on Raw so it is unlikely that neither of them will have a match at Hell in a Cell.

This match will probably be announced next week on Monday Night Raw. Although both superstars need a win, Kevin Owens will likely get the win so he can have momentum heading into the Super Showdown and Survivor Series after his big return.
