FAQs

The Cincinnati Bengals have been named by their founder Paul Brown. He named the team in honor of other Cincinnati football teams who previously played in other football leagues. The previous football team was named the Cincinnati Bengals since there used to be a rare white Bengal tiger in the city’s famous zoo. The current Cincinnati Bengals was named after the previous Cincinnati football team.

The current Cincinnati Bengals home stadium is the Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The stadium was originally known as the Paul Brown stadium. The stadium was established in 2000 and renamed to the Paycor stadium only in 2022. The Paycor Stadium is also nicknamed  ‘The Jungle’ as an allusion to being a Tiger’s natural habitat. The stadium is hinted with green colored seats throughout and can seat a total of 66,515 people.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been an instrumental part of the team since he got drafted in 2020. The young quarterback is currently earning around $9.04 million per season from his contract with the Bengals. He helped the Bengals end one of the longest playoff win droughts in history.

A Super Bowl win remains elusive for the Cincinnati Bengals to date. The Bengals have come close on three occasions to win the prestigious Vince Lombardi trophy but fell short on all of them. They came the closest in the 2022 NFL Super Bowl against the Los Angeles Rams but lost the game 23-20.
