FAQs

The New Orleans Saints were rumored to likely relocate from New Orleans to Baton Rouge in Louisiana, but they stayed in New Orleans itself.

The current New Orleans Saints home stadium is the Caesars Superdome, also known as the Mercedes Benz Superdome. The stadium has previously hosted seven Super Bowl matches. The stadium is unique because it is the largest fixed dome structure in the world. In 2005, the Superdome housed thousands of people seeking shelter from Hurricane Katrina. The building suffered extensive damage as a result of the storm, and was closed for many months afterward. The building was fully refurbished and reopened in time for the Saints' 2006 home opener in September.

The New Orleans Saints are named as a homage to the rich jazz heritage in the city of New Orleans. The name is derived from a popular song "When the Saints Go Marching In" which to this day is still the team's fight song.

The Atlanta Falcons are the biggest rivals to the New Orleans Saints. The two teams have been competing since they were placed in the NFC West in 1970 and later the NFC South division in 2002. Currently the Saints and the Falcons have a head to head record which is tied at 54-54.

You can stream any New Orleans Saints game on the New Orleans Saints app or the NFL Game Pass app. Saints’ games are also streamed on FOX Sports, or ESPN or CBS.
